    Re: Most Memorable Videogaming Moments

    That reminds me.

The only Pokemon game I purchased was Gold for $7 at Game-X-Change many years ago. I got stuck once, had something to do with a dark cave, then I put it down for many years. When I was a senior in high school, I looked up how to get past the cave. I continued my story and beat part one of that game.

The reason I'm talking about this is because of the final battle in part two of that game against Red. He was very difficult, but I managed to claw and fight my way down to his last Pokemon, his Snorlax. I was also down to my last one, a Snorlax also, but before hand, I had bought 99 super potions. We kept fighting until it finally got to where his Snorlax ran out of move points. I beat his Snorlax in about 5 minutes after that.

Can't remember the name of the game but I think it was just called Kung-Fu on the Atari.

Double Dragon in the arcade and on the NES

Bases Loaded Baseball on the NES that I played with my dad countless times.

Beating the snot out of my snobbish cousin in Mike Tysons Punchout and RBI Baseball!

Killer Instinct and Killer Instinct Gold on N64. Me and some friends would get together play that and then watch Monday Nitro and RAW. Really hoping they bring this franchise back one day.

Resident Evil on Playstation! First time ever being frightened by a game!

NFL 2k and NBA 2k series on the Dreamcast! Just amazing!! So many great games on the Dreamcast, hated to see it not get the love it deserved!

Moto Gp Demo when XBOX Live launched! My hands still ache from playing that game so much as it was so addictive chasing leaderboard times.! Last time I got really consumed by a game. Still love gaming, but don't get that same feeling nowadays!

Playing MW2 with friends from work and most recent would be,finally breaking down and buying a PS3 so I could play MLB The Show!

Super Mario 3: Was first kid in neighborhood w/ game. Must have been fifteen 11 yr old kids @ my house that Saturday all wanting to play. Was a really fun time.

Walking Dead: When Duck had to be put down, this affected me deeply, being that I am a father of a 5 yr old son.

Sega Genesis: Playing Toejam and Earl.... I really miss that game.

Mass Effect: Carrying a player and those choices over 3 different game iterations has been probably the coolest and most immersive experience yet in gaming for me.

I remember finally beating my brother on Joe Montana Football back on the Genesis. There was probably like 5 seconds on the clock. He paused the game to grab his drink, when he went to put the drink down he "accidently" reset the SG. Man, it was obviously a win but he took my smack talking away. Till this day he swears it was an accident which cant be true since he literally had to push reset down. -.-

            I thought of another one.

            Golden Eye

We would take a rope and run it from the back wall to the center of the TV. Then we would drape a sheet over it and line it up dead center of the 4 player split screen. Then two team mates would sit on one side of sheet and two on the other side. This was our way of playing golden eye without being able to watch someone else screen! This lasted for a good year or two. Ohhh the fun we had.

              Re: Most Memorable Videogaming Moments

Command and Conquer RE on the playstation.

I spent 3 hours trying to take over a gigantic base on an island with only one beach. I exhausted all my resouces and the sea was filled with empty transport ships.

After all that fighting I was down to one soldier. I blew up the last building and a civilian from inside the building joined my side.

It came down to this: I had had two soldiers and the CPU had two soldiers.

Me: Civilian with a handgun and a soldier with an assault rifle

              vs.

CPU: Soldier with a rocket launcher and a soldier with an assult rifle

In a mexican standoff style battle the assault rifle soldiers killed each other and my civilian killed the rocket laucher soldier with a handgun.

              MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!!

When I beat the Elite 4 in Pokemon yellow for the 1st time, probably my first great accomplishment with a Video Game.

When I beat all of Icewind Dale 2, those type of games were pretty hard for me at the time so I felt like a boss when I finished.

Lol yea we got tired of people screen watching. Instead what spawned was people throwing a jab through the sheet every now and then

                      Re: Most Memorable Videogaming Moments

My friends and I's first (of many) Halo nights. I was 15, it was a Friday and we had an away high school basketball game that evening. I remember I specifically asked my coach if I could ride home with my parents after the game and he agreed. We ended up stopping at a mall on the way home so I could pick up the XBox, Halo, and four controllers. After the team bus got back (around 8pm), we all raced over to my buddies house and played for about 14 hours straight through the night. Slept all day, and then did it again on Saturday night.

A close second would be playing Madden 06. My buddy and I were roommates in college and had a franchise going where he was the Cowboys and I the Chargers. We ended up making it to the Super Bowl to face off each other in Year 4 I believe. I forced a punt with about :05 left and the game tied from his 40 yard line and ended up taking it to the house as time expired to win the Super Bowl. He didn't talk to me for almost a week

                        Pretty much everything MGS.

                        Favorite Boss Battles:
                        Psycho Mantis
                        Raven (MGS1)
                        The End
                        FatMan (the bomb guy)
                        Vamp (MGS 2)
                        The Sorrow
The Boss (probably the greatest boss battle ever for me)

                        Favorite Scenes:

The car chase/shoot out with Liquid at the end of MGS1.

The Boss battle with that amazing music playing while the fight was going on.

The re-visit to Shadow Moses in part 4. Brought me back to when I was 13 and had just gotten MGS1.

MGS 4, when Snake was crawling through the fiery furnace and the battle between him and Liquid. Literally brought tears to my eyes. No other series has ever had me so emotionally attached like MGS. Hideo Kojima is a mother****ing genius. Period.

This isn't even close to all the moments I could name. My list would go on and on.

Thinking about changing my user name to "La-Li-Lu-Le-Lo" now. Lol

Back when the first Blitz was out on PS1 mE and my brother who is seven years older then me probably played at least 100 games against each other. We would every day and I never beat him.

The closest I got to beating him and this is the moment I will never forget was when I had a one point lead on him with the ball and about 30 seconds left. I was so happy that I was finally going to beat him that I got very careless and was sacked in the endzone giving up a safety. It was the closest I ever was to beating him.

Just sitting around with the family. Probably like 92? Playing Mario wondering how awkward it would be if we beat the game and me and my brother got to see princess naked next to our two sisters and mom. Apparently thats just one of many lies my brother fed me through my youth.

Tecmo Super Bowl. My brother, my dad, and I would put all of the team names in a hat and each draw one and played out a season. It was some of the most fun I've ever had playing videogames.
