2 days spent creating super teams on baseball stars and then trading the 87+ players to mine and my friend's team. then all the sudden there was the 90 player we had been looking for. course .. it all became a moot point when the team was erased a few weeks later because we failed to properly hold reset while shutting off the system. stupid battery save nintendo games.Individuality: Always remember that you are unique. I can't really think of any right now, but one that comes to mind is when I was doing a season with the Oakland A's in All Star Baseball 2005 for the Xbox.
I traded for Vernon Wells....a couple weeks later in the season we go to his old team, Toronto, and when he steps up to bat, he gets boooooed so hard. After going down 0-2 in the count, he blasts a 500+ homerun and the crowd is dead silent as he rounds the bases.-Jay Illestrate, Emcee/Producer/Graphic Artist

I have another one. I was in 10th grade and 2 of my friends stayed the night and we spent all night beating each other up in Tekken Tag for PS2. I was easily the best out of us 3, but the other 2 guys were still pretty decent.
Well prior to this, one guy swore out that he was gonna kill me when we played this game and it didnt happen. So after I beat his brains out all that night, he wanted to play again when we got up in the morning.
I promise you, I beat him 67-0. We played 67 matches and he lost every one of them. It got to the point where I was picking Marshall Law and talking junk, just dodging all of his punches for about 2 minutes before I'd go in on him and start whooping him. I'm laughing at him and clowning him and whatnot.
This kid got so frustrated, he stood up, slammed his sticks and screamed "just leave me alone about it alright??!"
It was so funny to see someone get so upset about getting manhandled in a fighting game like that.

That was a great game. It's one of the few that I've beaten and then played multiple times after. I beat it once with Furious Ming, then Wu, then I was going through it with Monk Zeng and I couldn't get passed the last fight for some reason and now I can't find the game. A lot of the modern classics have been mentioned already so I'll bring out some old school stuff.
1. Throwing a no hitter with Mark Langston against my cousin in Earl
Weaver Baseball. My cousin and I probably played over 2000 games
of EWB either against each other or against the CPU. That was the
only No-No ever.
2. Beating the last boss in Planescape Torment by engaging him in a
philosophy debate forcing him to loathe his very existence and thus
end his own life. The perfect ending to the best story driven RPG ever.
3. The beginning of Utima VII: The Black Gate. Arriving in Britannia and
seeing the body of a farmer in his barn brutally mutilated in what was
obviously a ritualistic cult slaying, let me know that this was not going
to be your standard RPG game.
4. My first game of One on One: Dr. J vs Larry Bird. My friend had been
telling me how good the game was, but when I went over his house and played it I was stunned. This was the future of sports gaming.
5. Finishing my creation of the the league in Front Page Sports Football
Pro '95-It took me 3 months, but I re-rated every single player in the league, created playbooks and set the coaching/playcalling A.I. for every team in the league. It was a hell of a lot of work but it was worth every second.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Playing Metal Gear Solid for the first time. Man, wow, the fight with Psycho Mantis was worth the price alone.
Playing MGS: Sons of Liberty for the first time. Man, wow, the part where you have to snipe those robots to keep Otacon's sister alive was worth the price alone.
Play MGS: Snake Eater for the first time. Man, wow, the fight with The End was worth the price alone. The ending of that game was sogood, I played through about 10 times just to watch it over and over.
Aeris dying in FFVII. Threw my whole party out of wack.
Hearing Ludacris rap on Madden 2000 I think it was. "Maaaaan, get out my way and watch out as I come THROUGH!" That intro used to get me so hyped to play because of the NFL video playing along and every line of the song ended with a nasty hit.
When I first broke the backboard using Hakeem Olajuwon on NBA Showdown 94'.
Seeing Tom Chamber's double pump dunk from the three point line for the first time on Lakers vs Celtics. The first time I saw all of the stars' moves in that game was a jaw dropping moment for me.
First time I saw the grey dude dunk animation in Double Dribble, and my first 720 fade-away three point shot.

Dang, TROB, those bring back some serious memories. Remember Magics no-look in Bull vs Lakers? Or how the back of the box had a real pic of Chawles doing his Gorilla slam? Or trying to find MJ's sweet spot for his up and under in Bull/Blazers...
Also, I was a Double-Dribble fanatic...those grey cutscenes were amazing at the time, which suddenly makes me also remember how sweet the cut scenes in Tecmo Bowl were.
Looking back, it's been a blast being a hardcore gamer.
2 moments that spring to mind as memorable was the ketchup usage in MGS, and strangely, my first completed deep ball using Read N' Lead in NFL Fever. Non Sports gaming moments
Playing Medal of Honor's D-Day mission. It amazed me how realistic it seemed. Other games have outdone it now, but it was still amazing at the time.
Blazing Angels-Just an amazing game. Can't wait for the sequel.

My first game of NFL2k on the dreamcast. It was so amazing.
finally getting beat by a friend on NFL2k after going 31-0 with the patriots.
Of course Ares' death
the music from the natural on ASB 2005. Got me so pumped.
playing Tecmo superbowl on the sega genesis with the Browns and going undefeted and winning the superbowl.
and prob number 1 would have to be my dad coming home with a turbo grafix 16 system and like 3 games a couple days after i severly broke my leg. My first game system ever. and no my parents would never get me a nintendo.Comment

Hey Dave, thanks for reminding me of my 'Eternal Darkness' moment.
I was in my campus apartment in college at the base of the foothills in Golden, CO. I just bought my first surround sound system and was playing late at night, pumping the Dolby Pro Logic, and being totally enthralled with this fine game.
Suddenly, I start hearing a crunching, creaky sound. Thinking it was another sanity effect, I brush it off. The sound persists and I'm getting paranoid as hell...damn, this game really draws you in (I'm getting knocked around by zombies, so my sanity meter and health are all out of whack). The sound gets louder, and at the point I'm crapping my pants with fear.
I get up, thinking I'm crazy, look out the window...
and see a damn deer herd in the parking lot and the neighboring field, and one is eating the leaves off the tree outside my window! I felt like a damn fool, but man, while it's not an actual in-game memory, it definately applies as a memorable moment!I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be. - Douglas Adams
