Re: Gamefly?
Thanks man. I'm just going to put it in my queue and hope for the best. That strategy sounds like money for future releases though. I get sick of shelling out 60 for games man. It's just too much these days. Ideally, I'd like to purchase 2-3 must haves per year and that's it. This will help with that a lot.Originally posted by J. ColeFool me one time that's shame on you. Re: Gamefly?
Sure thing.
I'm freeing up my next slot this week for UFC, and then Back Breaker. To me, doesn't matter if the games end up sucking or not. Hell this is the first year that I won't give a crap if Tiburon football sucks...just send 'em back!PSN: JISTIC_OS

Re: Gamefly?
The rest of my queue is upcoming football games in release order (BB, NCAA & Madden). I will keep a slot open for new releases and I may try to get up to 3 games out if I can fulfill the requirements in 60 days.
Hope it works out where you can get Red Dead. It seems that once a popular games is out, it is kind of hard to get unless you get it from the jump. I don't have enough experience though to say for certain though.Comment

Re: Gamefly?
My membership started the 12th of May and I filled my queue up with upcoming releases I wanted with Red Dead being first in the queue. I kept it there the whole time and got one other game sent to me (on the 2 game plan) last week. So I had the one slot open and sure enough they shipped Red Dead, so I guess I had it first in line since Wednesday.

Re: Gamefly?
I also recieved an email that RDR is shipping today too can't wait till I get it. Normally this doesn't happen for me for every other game that I have pre order, I usually get week after the release.
In the case of 2K10 I recieved it 3 weeks after the release even though I had it preordered about 3 weeks beforehand. This whole gamefly thing can be very strange at times but its all I got now because my local hollywood video closed.Comment

Re: Gamefly?
Yep, Blockbusters around here are closing like Chick-Fil-A's on a Sunday. I'm gonna have to make do with GameFly for now. It's not a bad service at all. I just wish the shipping/turnaround times were consistent. You never know when you're gonna get your games.Originally posted by J. ColeFool me one time that's shame on you. I'm trying to keep a spot open for Modnation Racers and Super Mario Galaxy 2 on their release dates. Just gotta hope they get ODST back in time.Last edited by TracerBullet; 05-17-2010, 04:31 PM.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment

Re: Gamefly?
I currently have the 2 game plan and am thinking of upgrading to the 3 game plan but so far I havent had too much difficulty getting the games I want. The beauty for me is, I missed out on so many good games like Batman Arkham Asylum, Assassins Creed 2 etc, that even if I cant get a brand new release there are still many games available that I havent played at all.
In terms of getting new releases, what I do is basically leave nothing but the game I want in my queue and clear everything out completely. If you do that then you generally will get the game you want, its not full proof but it works far more often then it doesnt.Comment

Re: Gamefly?
Besides the little snafu that I had with shipping the week before, this thing is great for trying titles that I would have spent money on........but now, I am just spending $22 a month instead X amount. I will still buy RDR and UFC this month since those are titles I'll be playing for a long time. I have been checking it one title for myself and then one for my son for the Wii. I might eventually look at doing the 3 at a time down the road.Comment

Re: Gamefly?
Today a prime example of Gamefly shenanigans. Empty slot, four games listed as available now all day, no game ships and all four still listed as available now. It's not a huge deal, it just feels like Gamefly is constantly lying to cover up for it's failures.Comment
