    Re: Gamefly?

I joined on the 2 games out at a time plan and I'm impressed with it so far. I think I'll keep it instead of buying so many games.

I think it takes a while for the new places to get up to speed. I live 45 mins south of Pittsburgh and was excited when they opened that facility. But it took a few months for it to be noticeably faster than getting them from CA.

Well, the difference has been immediate for me with the Tampa distribution center.

Also, like I posted in the "Used games" thread, the Keep It/Buy It prices are still great.

I have the 2 games out plan or whatever, and besides CoD4, they keep sending me older stuff way down my list. Why is that? I had at least 6 other games above Dirt on my list, all ranging from high availability to medium, and they still sent me that one.

I could easily go to blockbuster or hollywood video and get Dirt or some older game. I was hoping for assassins creed, mass effect, ace combat 6, or even bioshock, all on top of my list.

Strange, they sent me my top 2 games. (COD and College 2k8)

Also, the games shipped out on the 26th and I received them on the 28th. Thank you Florida

That used to happen to me all the time. You have to work it where you have most or all of your games back, before big new releases come out. Otherwise, you'll get burned waiting on them.

                  Re: Gamefly?

Everyone still having a good experience with Gamefly? I had them about a year ago and it wasnt bad but I want to make sure that everyone seems to be still getting good service and the turn around times on games arent really long. I could already see a difference when I saw that games were no longer available or unavailable, they have this low-medium-high availability thing going which seems to throw everything in limbo. If anyone has paid attention, when a game says high availability, how frequently would you say that you actually get that game mailed to you? Thanks to anyone that can answer this for me.

My service has been great. When a game is shipped to me, I can receive it within 2 days (from the Pittsburgh center). Anything that's medium or high availability will typically be shipped on that same day for me. Maybe it's because of where the games are shipped from for me, I don't know. Only on low availability do I have to wait a little longer for something to be shipped.

BTW, I just got an email today saying that they opened another shipping center in Tampa, FL, for those people in that part of the country. It won't matter to me, but I'm glad to see them opening up more shipping centers.

Just started gamefly. No problems at all. Gotta love their dirt cheap buy prices too.

because they now scan the barcode at the post office, and send out your next game before they receive the ones you mailed in. I guess they just added this to my area, as I got an email about it a month ago or so.

I will believe that when I see it, it may happen in your area but here in Oregon Netflix was doing the same thing and the movies were never scanned at the post office, in the entire 1+ year I was there it didnt happen once. The shipping times werent bad when I had Gamefly previously, Im just a littler nervous about the way they show availability and whatnot.

Well that's part of it, but for me it's mostly that games aren't getting lost like they were, practically every time for a while.
