I drove by the Gamestop where my pre-order was and saw the line and went to Walmart There were five people in line at Walmart.

I wish I tried Walmart first. When I pulled up to my local Gamestop there was a total clusterf**k of people standing in the parking lot, but I decided to tough it out and assumed that the line would start moving fast. Whoops. Not only did I have to endure waiting in line behind a freak who felt it was his responsibility to "educate" everyone in line about the history of Halo, I also didn't receive my copy of the game until about 2:15 AM.

On a positive note, I had a good time trying out a bunch of the different game types with randoms. I'm looking forward to getting some games in with the OS crew.

I did the same thing. It was the biggest line I've ever seen at gamestop. There was at least twice the number of people in line than the Madden 08 launch. It was crazy. I drove by and said, HOLY $#!%. So I went to Walmart where there ended up being about 20-30 people in line.

What do you guys want? it's Halo. There's been 200 posts of impressions from people who got it early. It's just Halo. We all know what it is, it just has better graphics than Halo 2.

I played two matches online this morning. It was the basic training game type, so 4 person free-for-all. I played on Snowbound (the one from the beta) and I can't remember the second one, but its the one with the circle in the middle and all of the man cannon things. I really liked both of them, even though I know most people hated Snowbound in the beta.

Any thing else you want answered Dookie?

I can't wait to play more later today.

Hmm then yo could say the same about Madden, NCAA etc every year...

Might be 200 posts in this thread, but hardly any impressions. Isn't that what this thread is for anyway? Plenty of stuff people could say. I wasn't complaining, I was just asking.

I didn't play the beta, well I did for like 30 minutes. So it's going to all be new to me.

Thanks for giving me some feedback. I am very interested to see how the maps are.

You enjoying the new weapons? Have you had the sword clash thing happen yet? Where two people hit each other with the sword and it stuns both players?

Exactly. I don't want to comment too much on it because I don't want to venture too close to something that some might consider a spoiler.

It's Halo. You know what you're getting with the controls, and gameplay. Not much has changed, which I guess is a good thing to some.

I don't even have the game yet and I can assure you the answer to this is yes. I never got the problem with this though. It's a strategy to staying alive. Some people complain about it being non-realistic, but you're a super soldier in full body armor with automatic healing fighting aliens. Realism gets thrown out the window early on.

Yeah.

Our goal was 3, but it has a much more "epic" feel to it than Halo 2 did.

The battles are insane. There are so many freaking people. So much to do/look at/fight.

If you're a Halo fan like we are...this game does not come close to disappointing.
