Has anyone had any street crimes that didn't involve killing everyone?

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
Yes. You have to be in a police car, because they are prompted via the police radio.
I botched like two interviews in the Silk Stocking Murder, but still managed to four star it.
Also, just checked out the Social Club stats and damn. Even though I five-starred Red Lip Stick Murder, I was still missing a POI and didn't ask some questions...interesting.
Anyway, this is the list of Mad Men cast that I have personally seen thus far:
Kenny Cosgrove
Peggy's Mother
Peggy's Sister
Paul Kinsey
Jimmy Berrett
Also, I am not 100% but I think that was Peggy outside of the bar for Marriage Made In Heaven.
Yes, several. Sometimes you can just injure them, but there have been some where you don't need a gun at all.

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
Has anyone seen this? Link above is the first DLC that comes out June 21st.
Also, Gamestop buyers got "The Naked City". Any word on when we will be able to download "A Slip of the Tongue"? (Walmart exclusive)
Rockstar has a really good chance here to make this game great with the extra content...I really hope they don't charge too much though. A part of me wants them to take all of these extra cases and make a side game like Ballad of Gay Tony/The biker one/Comment

SpoilerYou're at the near end of the game. That case and the following are kind of long and action packedComment

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
trust me, things do get harder later on. people get harder to read and so on. people with shifty eyes are all of a sudden not automatically lying.I know I'm mile behind everyone else here, but I finally had a chance to play the first "real" case as a detective. Got 5 Stars and all the interrogations right. Lots of fun. I got sidetracked by about 4-5 street crimesas well.Spoilerlove the on with the wacko wearing the pot on his head
I started the next case also. Interrogations are a blast. My only hope is that as you get further along the people get harder to read. It's just a case and a half though, and from impressions here it sounds like things get more complex, so I'm not too worried or knocking the game or anything. Just feels like the training wheels are still on a bit is all.
SpoilerIt just seems like everyone who's lying has the same "tell"-their eyes shift. Conversely, it seems like when people tell the truth, they stare a hole through you...lol. I'm guessing there is more to it when you start getting more advanced cases.
Also, on the street crimes...
SpoilerCan they be brought to a non-lethal end. A couple of mine were shootouts, so I assume there isn't really an alternative, but the crazy "cosmic rays" guy and the guy you chase until he grabs a hostage, is there a way you can simply arrest them?
i also just had 1 street crime that did not end in bloodshed.
yes"on hoping there is a PSN flash sale before Valentine's Day"
I'm sure there's plenty of prostitutes you could pay if you really want vd.Man there are no flashers... now what are we going to do for vd
Depends on what area of a hooker you would use to redeem them.yea but will they take psn cards

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
Cool, thanks guys. I figured it wouldn't be all the same, it's just odd that the first two cases seemed so straightforward (in terms of reading people)SpoilerThinking about it, it makes sense though...maybe the idea is these aren't hardcore criminal minds, so they give themselves away easier.
I was wondering about the street crimes becauseSpoilercertain obvious shootouts end with a cutscene of you calling it in, but others (like where you have to run someone down) you get the one with the body being loaded in the hearse...it just "feels" like a bad result. I dunno.
I read somewhere that you can sprint and tackle people when you get close, but I must have never gotten close enough as I've never had that option.
Also, a question about "A Marriage Made in Heaven"
SpoilerI solved the case, found all the evidence, got 5 stars, etc. At the case report screen though, there's a note that says "Another visit to Ray's bar and you would have seen what Leroy was prepared to do to avoid jail."
Anyone know what that's about? It didn't impact the case outcome, but it intrigued me about what little nugget I might have missed out on.Last edited by SoxFan01605; 05-20-2011, 07:30 PM.Comment

I know right! I did the same thing and could never find one.Last night, when I was ready to quit for the night, I decided to check out this film reel thing. Looked up the map on the social club, matched where I happened to be at that moment and went looking for the one that was closest to me. Searched for at least 20 minutes and never found it.
Maybe I just unluckily chose a very hard one for my first attempt. It was in a construction sight, I was up and down ladders, crossing wooden planks. All OVER the place.....I gave up.REDSKINS & WIZARDSComment

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
Done with Homicide
Speculation after playing through White Shoe Murder
SpoilerI get the feeling all these guys are set up, it all seems too easy, shady guys who will be standoffish with the cops who just happen to have a bloody murder weapon sitting around. One thing we haven't been given the option of investigating, all these women get drunk at a bar and it seems these bars always have a temp bartender, that struck me after the second murder case.SpoilerLooks like my instincts were right on the money, would have been nice to follow them before though.

Just became a traffic cop and started The Drivers Seat case. I think I've spent a 3rd of my time playing just driving and walking around checking out the sites. I've yet to stumble across a movie reel.Comment

about A MARRIAGE MADE IN HEAVEN
Spoileri got the same exact outcome as you with the same message in the case notes. i might play that one over and see what happen."on hoping there is a PSN flash sale before Valentine's Day"

I'm willing to listen if anyone wants to try and talk me into getting this instead of an iPhone. The only catch is you have to be an excellent salesman.Boston Red Sox
