Picked this game up last night. Haven't had a chance to play online yet, but the single player is amazing. Just passed the level with the TV station. That battle was intense inside the TV station.

Managed to also beat the training in 19.70 on my 3rd try.

i couldn't agree more with this assessment. The AI in cod4 is based on quantity instead of quality. as it is, the singleplayer is just amazing, but it could be evn more amazing if they reduce the number of enemies, but increase theur smarts. The only thing I hate is the respawning of enemies. I understand COD series is geared towards aracade shooting, but so is GEARS, and they didnt have respawn enemy points.

I really liked Rainbow Six's AI where they would flank and scatter. It wasn't always perfect, but in Vegas, I felt more concerned about their movement.

I do agree though that this game is in my top 10. It has one of the best endings to a game that I have ever experienced. Especially when comparing this title with the Ghost Recon series and Rainbow Six. Heck, you can even throw in Splinter Cell. Ubi needs to do better with their endings. COD4 ups the standard.

Plus, if they could add a nice cover system...........this game would really kick more ***.

The ending was fantastic, I found it very satisfying taking all 3 of them out with the just the handgun as I laid there for dead.

Even better, after you let the credits roll, and your on the airplane........now that was fun. My only complaint about that, is why didn't Ubisoft save this for COD5?

This makes more sense for those that have beaten the game and read the spoiler above:

Imagine starting COD5 on Air Force One as you try to save the President and make it out of plane before it goes kaboom like this ones does after you jump out. But make it more of a fleshed out level in COD5. As you jump out of the plane, use the "MOH:Airborne" mechanic of jumping out of the plane and landing anywhere on the map, but you land in an area in the middle east where there is war going on. Your main goal is to get the president to safety and out of the war torn area.

Just something a little different, could be written better, but a starting point.

What i like about this game is the many game types you can play and the ability to choose which one you want to play unlike halo 3 with the random games that pop up.

COD4 killed my PS3.

I was playing online last night, and then all of a sudden my PS3 shut off and won't turn back on. Has this happened to anyone else?

I love my .50 cal. Sniper w/ stopping power and Iron lungs.

i never seem to be able to hit anybody w/ a sniper rifle, crosshair on them, and they rarely get hit

I dont even have to see them, aim at a wall they are behind and bam, big blood spot where there head use to be. I like that you dont need deep penatration to shoot thru walls with it. But with deep penetration on I can shoot thru multiple stuff, like two cars and a thick concrete wall...etc.

The standard sniper rifle is much more accurate than the semi-auto ones. I'm a big sniper myself and I was getting extremely discouraged until I switched back to the M40A3. Now I'm racking up headshots like it's my job.

I just beat the game this morning. WOW. The last stage/stand is amazing. Intense. One of the best last stages ever made. Once the credits started to roll I felt like getting up and walking out of the theater like I just finished watching a great action movie except I starred in it.

Now time to go online.

In the LMG section it's the second gun. It's also my favorite of the LMG's.
