1) Is it just me, or is it a b**** to differentiate between your team and the opponent? I can't tell you how many times I've been killed just because I didn't know the guy with his back turned to me was my enemy.


Also, remember that except for hardcore, there is no friendly fire kills in this game. If you see it, just shoot. Let god sort out the rest!!

yeah, some of the outfits looks similar. Only time I don't have a problem is if one team is the Marines.

As unfortunate as it is that they didn't include it, I don't think its a reason not to get this game. Its just awesome.

I'll probably wait until Christmas and pick it up. I just meant I can only get a couple games at a time so I'm going w/ Mass and 2k Hoops.

i kill my own guys all the time. and yes i carry that burden of guilt with me everywhere I go. it's just something i've learned to live with.

The only time I ever get confused between my teamates and enemies is when I'm hit with a flash or a stun grenade. The rest of the time you usually can see the name over your teammates head so I don't really have trouble differentiating between them.

Usually with grenades I throw back, they die then. Shooting wise I think it'll say something like "don't shoot a friendly" and yes in my hysteria I often do..

I'm about halfway through the game, and so far COD4 is nothing but a sub-par shooter. For a game released during the 2007 Holiday season, how can you not have a cover system? The graphics are nothing special.

I am impressed with the teammate AI and the story is good.

The Death From Above level was original. I've never seen a level like that in a game before.

Asian, to answer your question, I think there's no cover system because they want you to keep going all the time. if you take cover too much you cant progress to the next level. It's a design choice I believe.

Anyway, I would probably appreciate the cover system more in the multiplayer aspect, though it certainly wouldn't be as much fun if there was a cover system. No cover system makes the SPC intense as all Hell - how much fun or really nerve-racking would it be to duck around a corner, pop a couple shots off, duck back and repeat 2-3 times before the guys are dead.

I finished the SPC yesterday on Hardened and the ending has to be the most satisfying I have ever felt after beating a game - the ending to the game is just perfect - bitter sweet as well. Usually in FPS, especially war FPS, you don't become attached to the guys around you, but this game does a great job of really creating a sense of brotherhood within the game and missions.

Get your vision checked my friend. Graphics are probably the best I have seen on any system so far.

I'm not too far in the game yet... playing on Veteran and I'm stuck on the TV station level. I don't want to drop the level play as I'm enjoying it so anyone got tips?

I'm stuck on the part where you in the big TV room with all the offices and cubicles are after the server room. Don't know why but I'm having trouble getting through it. I tried holding my ground but enemies just keep coming to no end so I'm guessing they just keep respawning and I got to move forward.

EDIT:

Nevermind, I kept getting myself trapped by leaving some jabroni upstairs in the corner and that led to getting over rushed and trapped in the server room. Once I took him down, it was pretty simple.

I'm glad the game doesn't have one. It wouldn't be anywhere near as good imo if it did.
