I don't really camp, but I lose the game to a guy who has almost triple my deaths but only two more kills then me? Yeah, something isn't right with that.

Re: Call of Duty 4 - Impressions
While I agree that it sucks that if I go 13-1 and another guy goes 15-14 he gets more points than me, I can't think of any way to make the game better to keep it at a balanced pace.

Re: Call of Duty 4 - Impressions
The worse I have seen is, for example me at 2nd in the 20s and 10 deaths and winner having 30 kills and dieing 20 something times. I don't really see it as a issue.Comment

SpoilerHow in the HELL do you beat the Sniper Mission with Captain MacMillan (The One where its a Flashback) at the end where you have to wait on the hill for the Helicopter to come while sniping people one side always breaks down and they just end up coming from every side.Check out My Blog

just plant claymores around the area around the front of the ferris wheel where they come from, and be quick with the sniper rifle. McMillan doesn't die, so you don't have to worry about him, just yourself.

Re: Call of Duty 4 - Impressions
SpoilerYep what bk said. The claymores are very useful in this part so make sure you don't use any before that. The more you have the better it will be.
Also make sure you have some sort of automatic rifle along with the sniper. Having just a sniper and pistol makes it that much harder.
Also when it gets to 3000m left or so you should start getting over run. Keep switching between the guns and make use of your flash bangs! When there is a lot of them just throw it out there. Always keep moving around in that area since there will be millions of grenades.
Lastly, when the chopper finally comes ignore who you can. Only kill guys that pose a threat and run like hell to get the Cap.Comment

Once he starts shooting, drop down to the ground and crawl inside his ***.
or if that isn't your thing, you can go hide by the bumper cars. Just plant your claymores over there and shot outside with an m21 and the ak-47.

Re: Call of Duty 4 - Impressions
a lot of people complained about how short the game is. well it doesn't seem that way for me so far. I'm no FPS Jedi, so it's taking me a while to get through it...lol."Never trust a big butt and a smile."-Ricky Bell

Re: Call of Duty 4 - Impressions
Anyone remember this section kinda early on? Just seems impossible, there's nowhere I can go that has cover enough to help me survive.
*edit* Reading walkthroughs on that section I just have to take the office across the way like I am and just kill enough...just damn tough, it wasn't too hard until this point, ugh.Last edited by mgoblue; 12-03-2007, 02:13 AM.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Call of Duty 4 - Impressions
Seriously...I might have to turn down the difficulty or something. I just spent an hour trying to get past a section and it's kicking my ***! I'm in a building, go from a server room to a room with a bunch of desks, and then a billion enemies shoot at me from all angles. No matter if I try to get to another room, take cover, etc they just end up blowing me up with grenades or shooting me.

Once they are taken out, stay in that room for a little bit killing whoever you see. You're going to take some damage as grenades will keep flying in. Throw back the ones closest to you. Once you kill some guys proceed slowly and stay low all the time. Get prone as well. There is a door further down on the right. Thats where you need to go.Comment

Re: Call of Duty 4 - Impressions
When you go in the room with all the TVs and desks, take a quick right and run into the closet. From there first thing you should do is take out everyone on the top floor. Two guys from what I remember. Taking them out will create a lot less respawning.

Re: Call of Duty 4 - Impressions
I'll give that a shot tomorrow...normally I'm able to cope just by going slow and dying sometimes, but this showed me how many times I could die lol. Taking out the 2 upstairs guys sounds like that could help. I held the opposite office for a while, but guys just keep coming, it sucks.
But yeah infinitive respawning doesn't help. I tried playing this through several times myself by pushing through the office straight ahead... didn't work. Tried moving slow through the cubicles and that didn't work. I thought maybe I could stay back and play defense but as you found out first hand, guys just keep coming in packs.
One thing to remember about this game is it forces you to be really aggressive at times and push through or you'll just be stuck in one spot.
Sometimes, there could be like 30 guys around but if you push through to a certain spot the action just stops. Something I didn't like.Comment

Yep, that level was probably the most frustrating level in the game for me.

Now I have hope at least, gotta start somewhere lolNintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment
