Re: Mass Effect Discussion
I think I prefer my second playthrough to my first. It feels like I know the characters and the story better after playing through the game once. Plus, Jade is a badass in combat. I love charging at an enemy and putting them on their *** - especially love doing it to those krogan brutes.

Re: Mass Effect Discussion
Might take you more than a single weekend to play through all 3, even if you play without eating or sleeping.

Re: Mass Effect Discussion
I still want to create at least two more characters. I haven't played as a soldier or an adept yet.

Re: Mass Effect Discussion
I went to Gamefaqs and don't understand why I didn't get any renegade points when my femshep got inadvertently lost in peak 15's rift station and somehow ended up on the restricted area and everybody started shooting. I tried to find the place/person to verify I wasn't contaminated to go inside the quarantine lab but after that very unfortunate fiasco, all the ERC guards including Ventralis are dead and I didn't find the cure for those sick scientists because the quarantine lab got locked down. Nowhere on the ME gamefaqs page said where do I go after talking to Ventralis? After shooting up innocent guards, scientists albeit in self-defense makes me feel horrible and yet I'm about 80% full on my Paragon meter and even though decisions which I thought would lead to getting renegade points I get no points(renegade or paragon). This is my first femshep(she's Japanese) and a decision which I did make which I thought had a neutral stance on actually awarded me 2 renegade points grrrrr, I'll make another femshep with no charm/intimidate to do that character optimization thing or whatever and begrudgingly make renegade ones just for the story.Last edited by ILLocano; 02-29-2012, 06:43 PM.GO SAN JOSE STATE/MENLO COLLEGE FOOTBALL!!!NATTY 2013!!!Comment

Re: Mass Effect Discussion
Renegades are honestly more fun and I think they play closer to how you would actually react in situations.

Re: Mass Effect Discussion
thanks for your opinion but......can you answer my question? Like I said, I'll create a Shepard or a femshep who goes completely renegade albeit I will do so begrudgingly for the sake of saying I have beaten the game thoroughly.GO SAN JOSE STATE/MENLO COLLEGE FOOTBALL!!!NATTY 2013!!!Comment

Re: Mass Effect Discussion
I started a new game as a solider. I had a save from a couple months ago about halfway through with a Infiltrator, and I really didn't enjoy using a Sniper Rifle. I'm having a lot more fun early on using an Assault Rifle. I took lift as my bonus skill, and I use my companion's abilities manually to make up for not having much of my own.Comment

I played as a soldier also. Almost everything that I have read about what classes to use say that soldier is the worst.I started a new game as a solider. I've played as a Soldier, Infiltrator, and Vanguard. Vanguard was a ton of fun, but I didn't enjoy it as much in the sequel. I didn't like the Infiltrator at all. I die a whole lot less with a Soldier. When I do a renegade playthrough down the line, I'll probably go Sentinel, and use Assault Rifle as my bonus skill.

I popped in ME1 over the weekend, last I had played it was March of 2011. I completed one playthrough back when the game came out, and now I am going to go through a few more playthroughs on ME1 to unlock all the achievements.
I love this game, don't know why I've neglected it for so long, downloaded the Bring Down the Sky and Pinnacle DLCs way back around their original release, and just never played them.
On my 2nd playthrough I am a war-hero, colonist, soldier. First playthrough was an engineer. I am liking the soldier, but must say my fave is the engineer.
What I didn't like from my 1st playthrough awhile back, was that you start over, I wish on first playthrough I could keep going to complete all those side quests.
On my 2nd playthrough with my soldier, I rescued the Asari, and then flew back to the Citadel. From the Citadel I went to Pinnacle Station, and my backstory is that I am going to get my squad "trained-up" before embarking on Noveria.
Once I complete Noveria, it is back to the Citadel to "report" progress, and complete sidequests, then it is out on the next mission.Last edited by JBH3; 03-05-2012, 10:27 AM.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Re: Mass Effect Discussion
For anyone playing on the PC, is Mass Effect tied to your XBL account? I'm thinking of grabbing the PC version but only if I can earn achievements. Otherwise, I'll just play on the 360.Comment

Re: Mass Effect Discussion
It's not linked to XBL, but it has achievements you can earn.
IMO, the entire ME series is superior on PC in just about every way.Comment
