Re: Mass Effect Discussion
SpoilerYeah I know, I just mean the fight itself, I seem to get myself one shotted by the snipers in the second wave. Just wondering if anyone had any good tips as far as squad management or general tactics I can use. I have a Vanguard BTW.Comment

Re: Mass Effect Discussion
SpoilerAre you staying behind cover? What I usually do is take out the two Asari that come from straight ahead, then I move all the way to the right. In other words, I don't continue straight ahead to where the Asari came from. There will be a couple more people that you have to fight on the right side, I think, but once you take them out, you can safely go all the way across. From there, Benezia can't touch you. Then I run straight across and duck into cover once again. From there you should see a bunch of Geth in the corner. I use any powers that I can. Lift, throw, and if you have someone in your squad that can use it, Overload. Just don't pop your head out very often. Use your powers from the power wheel. Most importantly, use your squad mates' powers as well. Don't let them use it on their own. Its more effective if you control it.Comment

Yeah, that's typically what I do, but when I kill the first two Asari I try running over to the right but the Snipers seem to kill me before I get over there, since that's the side they come from. I'll try it again tonight, just getting a bit frustrated haha.Comment

I'm pretty sure they'll still shoot even if you're in cover and then move. And of course target them with overload.Comment

Keep in cover, wait for them to shoot, then hit them with Overload and shoot at them. Patience.
Also, if you find yourself low on health or shields when you move over to the right corner, you can literally stop for 5 minutes if you want for your medi-gel to come back and use it. Nobody will come for you after you take the Asari out and the enemies in the right corner. Patience

Re: Mass Effect Discussion
Spoiler
Change your upgrades. I typically only use the Shield mods that give me +90 to + 120 Shields. They can't hurt you if they cant get through the shields.
For your main gun, have the Shredder and Tungsten ammo ready.
Like everyone is saying stay in the corner. Let the commandos come to you, and by staying in the lower section the entire middle is blocking the sniper fire. As they rush, don't forget about grenades.

The Asari will give chase but your squad can soak up some of the damage while you run (this will also help the initial wave of biotics the Asari toss at you.
Then turn and fight off the Asari. That way, once the sniper wave comes in, you are all the way in the back-right corner and in control of the room as they can't get to you through that giant glass thing in the middle.
As others have said, after that it's just about patience. Most of the enemies will stay back (snipers) or move in slow enough (meaning no charging forward like Krogan) that you can steadily pick them off from behind cover.Comment

Re: Mass Effect Discussion
SpoilerI fought off the asari straght ahead then ran to straight to where they came from. From there I fought off the snipers and started sniping Benezia through the obstructions. Finally i lost patience and ran right at her, hit her with my team members stasis and unloaded for a couple seconds while she was stationary.PSN: OldStyle24Comment

Re: Mass Effect Discussion
I just finished up the missions on Feros and this game is freakin' awesome. I really wish that I would have played this game before the sequel released. Bioware did a fantastic job and look forward to the end of this game.Comment

Re: Mass Effect Discussion
I finished this tonight and Mass Effect will go down as one of my favorites of this generation. I now know and understand the love for this game/series from everyone on OS. To think about some of the decisions you had to make along the way is still mind boggling after finishing the game. I hope to pick up the sequel soon, going to take a little break from this series not to get burned out jumping on the second one.Comment

Re: Mass Effect Discussion
I liked the first one, the second is the best game I have ever played. The level of polish they put in is outstanding. The little things and side missions that I found annoying in the first are gone.I finished this tonight and Mass Effect will go down as one of my favorites of this generation.
