Anyone have any news? I've started a new career and it has me interested in the game again.

I started a second play through with my same character (on a harder level) in the spring and just picked it up again last week. Still love this game and I downloaded the Bring Down The Sky content to try out.

I just finished the game tonight. Really enjoyed the work Bioware put into the story, the characters and the different races.

I'm going to have to check out the books since everyone in this post give them good reviews.

GDC 09: The Iterative Level Design Process of Bioware's MASS EFFECT 2

          Session Description
This session examines the BioWare Mass Effect team’s new level-creation process, which is focused on maximizing iteration for quality while minimizing rework and cost. This approach to building levels strives to integrate the Design, Art, and Production teams such that the highest-risk level-creation issues are addressed early in the development cycle. Lessons learned from Mass Effect lead to a detailed description of the new level-creation process, and graphical examples of a level illustrate its progression through the necessary phases. The discussion also examines how BioWare is currently implementing this process using elements of Scrum and Lean Development.

          Takeaway
Attendees will: - Gain insight into some of the major issues the development team encountered while building Mass Effect at BioWare; - Get a detailed look at the Mass Effect team’s new approach to creating levels while avoiding these issues; - Find out how this new process is working for the Mass Effect team; - Learn about new pitfalls the team discovered that can potentially be avoided on future game projects.

I just picked this game up again. I didn't get to far the first time I played it, but I loved it. Now that I have some free time, I am going to get back into it.

Very true. I think I got to level 48 and I missed a number of side missions.

              I loved this game.
I sold my 360 for a PS3 so I'm really, really hoping that Part 2 comes out for both systems. It's a must own for me.

While I've gone through the game twice, doing everything, I'm getting the itch again with all this talk.

I'm just wondering if we'll hear news of further expansions...I thought BioWare would bring us more than "Bring Down the Sky" (which I've admittedly NOT done). I just want to go through again, with a "me" character (not full good or evil) in preparation for the sequel.

BioWare Readying More Mass Effect DLC

Despite the ongoing development of Mass Effect 2, BioWare apparently hasn't given up on supporting the first PC and Xbox 360 entry in the sci-fi role-playing franchise.

During a chat with CinemaBlend, BioWare community manager Jay Watamaniuk noted that another downloadable episode is on the way, but declined to offer any details.

The first and only bit of Mass Effect DLC released thus far, dubbed "Bringing Down the Sky," added a new alien race and roughly 90 minutes of gameplay last March.

In addition, Watamaniuk said a new PC patch should hit in "like a month or two."

Wow I had given up on more DLC. Now I have to see if I still have a save before the end.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

Depends on you with how you want to play it. It can be short or really long.

Cool. The 2 disc edition comes with Bringing Down the Sky and a few other extras @ $20 with a hideous cover art or I can grab the used copy @ $13 w/ Edge card. Does the 2-disc really offer anything new?

I think you can download most of the videos and interviews from the Marketplace.

And you're right, the cover is hideous.
