I got the game for about 16 bucks at gamestop a few weeks ago and I just finished the game after 20 hours. I have to say I enjoyed this one way better than Fallout3, though I love them both. The story was amazing and now begins the long wait until mass effect 2.

Basically if you are on the fence, get off and get this game, its awesome.

I finished it playing as a renegade solider. I always took Ashley and Liara. I want to try it as a paragon using lots of biotics and as a woman, which is going to be weird since I have never done that in a video game.

I'm playing through yet again and this game still amazes me everytime I play it. I still can't believe that every primary codex entry is narrated. Even though I've read this stuff before I'm just going through all the entries and listening to them anyway.

That was one think that I was going to sit through and listen to when I played it again. I think I'm going to give this a lite go through the summer while I play a few other games just to keep me up-to-date. One question I have. If I don't have a save but want to play on the hardest difficulty, will the game acknowledge my unlocking the achievement or do I need a game save? Basic reason why I'm slow with booting it up.

You need to finish the game twice to play on the hardest difficulty:

Hardcore Mode: Complete the game once
Insane Difficulty: Beat the game on the Hardcore difficulty without changing the difficulty

I beat it already but deleted the save on accident. Wondering if the level difficulty will allow me to play if I unlocked the previous two difficulties. I unlocked insane but lost that save.

I did. I thought it was absolutely terrible. The controls were hideous, which made combat horrible, and the story was pretty brief and unsatisfting.

It was literally one of the worst games I've ever played. I'm sure there's many worse ones out there, but I've never played them.

The only upside is beating the game unlocks something in Mass Effect 2. But unless that something is absolutely incredible, I'd pass on it.

Sorry. We will not be discussing ME1 DLC this week or for a while yet.

This is totally my fault for jumping the gun and getting your expectations up. No excuse, I messed up.

We'll talk about the next ME1 DLC when we can, but I don't have event the estimate of a date so I don't do this to you again.
