Yeah the DLC was fun. Did anyone get armor from the guy at the end? If so, was it new armor or stuff already in game? I got the omni-tool and it was a Savant IX, something already in the game and not even max. I would have preferred some elite equipment at the end.

Re: Mass Effect Discussion
I picked up Liara and did a bunch of side missions before starting on Feros. That was the last big one I finished. Despite my weapons, the creepers on Feros were a pain in the butt. I should've used more biotic powers than I did. Anyway, I'm just about to start Noveria the next time I fire it up. It's weird, on Feros, I fight the Geth armitures and everything on foot rather than in the Mako because the Mako seems to get the crap kicked out of it rather quickly. I don't know if that's an insanity difficulty deal or that it's because I suck at controlling the stupid thing. Probably the latter. In all honesty, insanity isn't that bad.Soldier both play throughs. Some people might say it's boring but I like it. I might use the biotech stuff another time.
Yeah, the hit points should change depending on your XP. Yeah I forgot about the weapons though. That probably makes a difference and makes it harder.
How far are you in insane? Fight any bosses yet?
I am a bit worried that I'm going to get hosed though. When I started the game on that level, I had insanity selected. I noticed when the Eden Prime level just loaded up, I went to check the level of difficulty and it had reverted to normal. I know to get the achievement for playing on insanity, it says you can't change the difficulty, but it did it on it's own and I never advanced forward or anything when I changed it back. I'll be rather ticked if I don't get it and have to do it again.Last edited by SlimKibbles; 03-13-2008, 11:07 PM.MLB: Cincinnati Reds

Regarding the creepers, I don't like fighting them. They just kind of creep me out which is weird because nothing creeps me out in any game. Even the RE games. But those creepers, don't know what it is about them.Comment

Re: Mass Effect Discussion
Feros as a whole was just creepy.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: Mass Effect Discussion
I did the same (started a new game with an old shepard en route to getting level 60 and insanity acheivements) and i'm worried about the same thing. that would suck if you had to use a brand new character to get those acheivements.Comment

Re: Mass Effect Discussion
I know I'm about 4 months late to the party, but I just got this game last Saturday and beat it today.
Aside from the shortness of the game (beat it in 10 hours), it was a fantastic game. Between this, Bioshock, and CoD4, my 360 has finally become more than the box I use to play NBA.Comment

I thought I was rushing and it took me 30 hours. However, I did do some sidequests.

Re: Mass Effect Discussion
Question, if I want to start using a previous character on a higher difficulty setting, how do I go about doing such? I've set it to Hardcore in the menu but as soon as I start a new game with my old character it changes the difficulty back to normal. And the achievement for Hardcore says you need to play on Hardcore and not change the difficulty.Comment
