Re: Mass Effect Discussion
I don't see why the 360 owners are so upset on their boards. The enhancements are either absolutely necessary for a PC game or minor, at best. Getting the game earlier by six months seems like the better deal to me and I feel no urge to get a second copy. If someone figures out how to mod everything, that's a different story, but that's no fault to the developers.
As a developer, if I had to tweak an existing program to work on another platform, I would be making changes all over the place. In this case, I would say they showed restraint by sticking to that feature list.Comment

Re: Mass Effect Discussion
Yeah, you make a great point...all the stuff is going to happen when porting to PC anyways. You'll have better resolutions, because PC's can be beefier. You'll have fully mapable controls and "hot keys" because you have a full keyboard. It's not like the PC version is getting its own content or anything.I don't see why the 360 owners are so upset on their boards. Re: Mass Effect Discussion
It would be like a PS3 game being released on the 360 six months later and PS3ers being upset that they added Achievements and Rumble support.
I was going to use MLB 08 as the example above, but, if that were released on the 360 at all, PS3ers would be upset....very upset. I can understand that since that's about the only purpose for my PS3. However, you can't make the same argument with Mass Effect appearing on the PC since it was going to happen eventually.Comment

I think it's great. The more people that get to play Mass Effect, the better. It's just too awesome of a game.Comment

Re: Mass Effect Discussion
I hate fighting the husks on hardcore. When I went through the second time on normal I took care of them easy but when I started a new Shepard on hardcore there were parts where I died over and over again fighting those things.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Target has pulled ME off shelves thanks to the Fox fiasco.
Apparently, US retailer Target is either too scared or has the same experience in gaming as Cooper Lawrence, since they've begun pulling Mass Effect off shelves. What's even more absurd is that the game is actually in stock, but Target employees are not allowed to sell it...Comment

Re: Mass Effect Discussion
Ridiculous, unbelievable an idiot can go on TV, flat-out lie about something and a major retail chain listens. She even retracted her comments, admitting she has never played the game, but I guess Target missed that part.Target has pulled ME off shelves thanks to the Fox fiasco.

Re: Mass Effect Discussion
I agree- it was far more than just a simple gaming experience. I can't wait for the DLC and it will be the first time I've ever bought DLC for a game!. This is IMHO the best game I've ever played.

Re: Mass Effect Discussion
Well I've finally been able to get back into the game and I think I'm almost at the end. Not really sure, but it seems like it. I just finished a 5-6 hour run and will probably try for another one tomorrow since I don't have class.
A little late, I know...but better late than never.
Oh and Ashley is a freak.
