You can't screw anything up. The only bad thing you could do is give yourself points in Charm AND Intimidate. Even then, you wouldn't get stuck in the game because of it.

Here is a picture of my Mass Effect character.

I think he looks like the guy from Miami Vice:

For real man, I can't usually deal with sci-fi **** and RPGs in general tend to bore me, but this game is on another level. I think the great voice acting and dialog is the reason that it's so good and appeals to people like us who don't normally play RPGs. Something about it being so cinematic just keeps my interest. If I was reading lines of text, I'm sure I would've goeen bored with the plot by now.

I'm just on my first actual mission (Noveria), and this is already GOTY for me. Granted, I haven't played GH (at all, ever), COD4, or Mario Galaxy (no Wii), but it's the best game I've played for a long time. Totally engrossing, amazing graphics, character development and dialog is really deep -- highly, highly recommended for anyone with a 360 (even if you don't normally like RPGs and sci-fi).

When talking to other squad members their voice is hard to hear. Anyone else having this problem? If so what can be done to fix it. Peace!!!!

Seems to me that it just depends on their proximity to you and the way they're facing. If you talk to them with their back turned, you'll barely be able to hear them.

Whenever I talk to my party members, I walk uncomfortably close to their face so that I can hear them. In a way, it's a lot like being my grandpa.

                Re: Mass Effect - Impressions

This is definitely my GOTY and is most certainly shaping up to be my favorite game of all time. The amazing story and the cinematic feel to the conversations makes me never want to play another game where reading text is required. This dialogue system is the greatest thing I've ever seen. Obviously there are a few technical glitches, and some annoyances such as inventory management, but dammit I don't care! This game is too awesome to let ANY of that bug me much at all.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

For whatever reason I could barely hear Kaiden at all, with the other crew members I didn't have that problem.
