I've found myself just taking it all in while I listen. What I don't like is the little hints afterwards that try to move me along like I don't know how to press the A button.

I don't think that's why that's there. I was glad it came up once because I got distracted by something and didn't catch what the person said. Then, I had dialogue options with no idea what I was responding to, so I was glad when the text popped up after a few seconds.

I love it with the subtitles off for the dialogue. The voice-acting is great.

It's never been a sign for me, mine just wouldn't turn on or it froze.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

So the graineyness is a feature? Nice to know. I thought I was getting electrical noise again through my surge protector.

It's an RPG where you go through a storyline and experience it basically. It allows for a good deal of customization so you can play it through how you like and the multiple character types add replay value since they play so much different.

I was saying I wouldnt have picked it up if it wasnt for you guys here....I actually HAVE the game and its great.....

the question: whats the point of it anyway?
was pointed toward the presence of the "grainy" effect......

I was wondering why it is even present

                    Nitpick alert.

I hate that you can't skip through dialogue.

Its good and all...but if you are forced to have a conversation before a boss battle...die...and than retry and have to listen to this conversation everytime you failed to beat the boss...

                    Voice Acting is great though.

I've avoided most previews and reviews, so didn't realize you could turn it off...had to run errands this morning (prepping for Thanksgiving), but gonna turn the game on now, I'll turn off that "feature", it always took away from the experience for me.

you know that's not a bad idea, i think one thing that is ruining games for me lately is that you know every nook and cranny before you even ever play it, it takes away a good portion of any sort of mystery or wonder about the game...

Complete side track, but that's my viewpoint...I'll read a few previews sometimes, but with Mass Effect there was so much out there it'd kinda take the fun out of learning. Plus the hype can get too big (look at Assassin's Creed, great game but overhyped and tough to match that hype). I'm glad I read the ME prequel book, but I wasn't reading the "Mass Effect info of the day" type stuff...

I like the grain, specially when you are exploring planets.

After a couple missions I had no idea the Normandy's elevator went down to the dock and you have a guy there that will sell you stuff plus you can talk to some of the other characters you have in your party.
