? for the vets: is it just me or is mapping the three punches and three kicks to the shoulder buttons just a really cheap tactic? I know its harder with a gamepad to do it manually but does that excuse it?

Re: Street Fighter IV (360/PS3/PC)
has anyone got an ultra combo to work??? i do the move and the character does the animation but it doesn't seem to be anything special in terms of damage and a special ultra-cool animation like the computer is doing to me on occasion.Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

Re: Street Fighter IV (360/PS3/PC)
Good God I am horrible at this game. I tried doing the challenge training modes on normal and I could only finish the 1st level with about half of the characters. I think the problem is that I am not sure what all the symbols mean.
I just tried arcade mode on the easiest setting and couldn't get past the 3rd guy (Zangrief).
Are there any places I can go to get the meanings of all of the symbols in the move lists? Also, would I be better off just concentrating on one character and trying to get as good as I can with that one before trying others?
Any hints welcome!NCAA: Michigan Wolverines
MLB: St. Louis Cardinals
NHL: St. Louis Blues
NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers
EPL: Liverpool RedsComment

I know one thing, I need the special joystick or control pad for sure. I was on the fence about whether to buy it for this game but the game is much better than I thought it would be so maybe i'll pick up a specific controller now.
I wish developers would take note and remake some old games in this style, 2D but with the appearance of 3D. This is what I was hoping that Nintendo would do with Metroid and other titles.Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

Re: Street Fighter IV (360/PS3/PC)
What moves listings are u guys having trouble reading? I think I can help you out.
And to Tha_Kid, I don't think its cheap at all as it would be a serious disadvantage for anyone playing on a regular controller. Also, they made the game with easier and more lenient move inputs to put the focus on outsmarting your opponent and not relying on combos and all the technical execution stuff (although still very much effective).Comment

LOL! Jim, you will probably bust me up since I haven't played a SF in a very longtime. I should be on in a bit. My headset is not charged though.Comment

Re: Street Fighter IV (360/PS3/PC)
This game cheats so blatantly it's sickening. If the setting below medium doesn't offer me a challenge then this piece of crap is going on Ebay.
I have a limited amount of time to play games and I don't need to be cheated by the CPU. After the frustration this game offers, I doubt I'll be buying anything with the name Capcom on it for a long time.Comment

It's not like SF is the only fighting game with that kind of behavior either...Comment

Re: Street Fighter IV (360/PS3/PC)
Couldn't find it here. Not that excited to be playing it on the 360 anyway. Couldn't find any fight pads, that I'd buy but the stick is too much for too little use. Even if I could not sure I'd want the pad if there's more later with a character I actually like on them.
Still not sure about buying it. I'm -3 fighting games (SC IV,Tekken DR & VF 5...thanks Sony!) but this doesn't have anything to unlock like those did. They want you to pay for it instead, even then it's nowhere near what they have available with their customization stuff and the extra modes (ghost battle in Tekken and quest in VF) so replay is questionable.Comment

Don't get it, you'll just end up complaining about it anyway.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment
