How is the DH? I'm thinking about starting up a DH or WD after my Barb gets through normal and haven't decided on which one to go with.

I quite like it. You are more squishy than a barb, but I enjoy knocking mobs out from a distance. I hear the higher level skills are great and the defensive skills will be beneficial. I never played a hunter in WoW, but the DH rocks

DH is fun, I'm loving it so far. Good mix of defensive skills and offensive skills. Caltrops and smoke screen can buy you the time to you need to avoid mobs, and rapid fire is a great mob control skill

I am dying to play this game! I bought the digital download only to find out my video card is not compatible and won't play the game. It is on a laptop so upgrading isn't really an option. I have been eyeing a new Mac book for a whole now. Does anyone know if the default video card on Mac book would be able to play this game?

I got my DH to 24 last night. The higher level skills are kinda meh to begin with imo. I don't think they'll really be fun until you start unlocking runes for some of them. The passive stuff however... oh boy hold on to your butts for those. I'm running the passives that are +% damage to slowed enemies and +% damage when I'm 20 feet or yards away from enemies(can't remember if its yards or feet). i have a 37dps cross bow starting to hit stuff for almost 500 last night. I had a Multi Shot I think hit for 480.

Can't wait to log on and finish Act 2. Act 2 is amazing especially the locations you go. The atmosphere is incredible. Hopefully the login and server issues are over with. You know I was thinking about it hard last night. Since they launched WoW (Especially when WoW launched) in 04 it seems like every time they release a patch or expac or something the servers explode.

I am definitely conflicted on the online always. However, if it helps prevent hackers or better yet allows them to catch bots or dupes or things like that, then go for it. I usually have a very, very reliable internet connection so I don't often have to worry about downtime, but for those that don't or people that won't to travel and play, I can see them being annoyed.

Don't count on too many sales. Starcraft 2 is still $59.99...Shoot Diablo 2 was still $19.99.

True...I'll probably pay full price when I'm bored, just in the middle of ME3 right now, and won't buy anything else until I beat that. Plus I never really did the Diablo or Diablo 2 thing at all, so while I know this'll be fun it's not a "must buy OMG" game for me.

                            Re: Diablo 3

So far, I have to say Blizzard has done a poor job of releasing this game. I have the disc version, so I should be able to pop the disc in, and click the setup.exe....wrong. The setup file goes out to the web to look for updated setup files. Except, it gets corrupted and never even gets to the installer. Great. I'll try the fixes I found later, and I'm sure it'll work. Point is, thats wrong on a lot of levels. I gave my friend a guest pass and he was up and playing inside of 15minutes (until the servers took a dump). Why even release discs if thats the case? Just send people the keys, have them register it at battle.net and then let them download the client. I guess I should have known better.

Next, and this has been covered repeatedly already, I have 0 interest in multiplayer, so an online connection should not be required whatsoever for single player. People cheating in multiplayer does not matter to people who play single player. At all. I don't care about ladder matches, I don't care about competitive balance. Why would I when I'm playing single player? They need to be separated in some manner. Period.

Anyone still playing SC2 know if it also requires multiplayer? I can't recall if I've ever tried to play offline. It wasn't as big an issue then when that came out as I recall, maybe I'm wrong. Again, I played it for only single player. In any event, most, if not all Steam games I have, I've been able to play off line with no issues. So my thought is, if it can be done there, it can be done here.

I think they do sales for the big holiday(s). I'm having a really hard time remembering but for either Thanksgiving or Christmas or maybe both Starcraft was 1/2 off and they had a package set up so you could buy All of WoW + the Latest Expac for $60. So it will happen you'll just have to wait a little bit of time

I'm sorry to say this and I hope it doesn't come across as jerky or offense... and I'm no apologist for blizzard but you're really the minority here. If you watch developer interviews you'll see a lot of instances where they say the game is a co-op multiplayer game first and foremost. Starcraft 2 does have an offline mode but comparing Starcraft and Diablo is apples to oranges.

As far as your game not installing correctly that's really a bummer. There's been a lot of complaints with installer errors. Hell, it told me to insert "disk 2" or something like that when I did digital download. Blizzard really dropped the ball with the launch of this game, unfortunately I think their motto is no one remembers a bad launch but they will remember a great game.
