If we get back on, I'll be around to help you guys kill the bosses in Act 1 if you want.

Otherwise I'll be farming one of the A2 bosses. If I get any gear worth keeping, I'll pass it off to those who can use it.

well i beat the skeleton king and made it to level 9 with my barbarian but looks like the servers are down as said above. In a way i'm glad, I don't think i would have quit for a good while on my own and i have to get up in the morning.

You exit the game, click on change quest (to whatever quest they are involved in), and start up the game again.

I'd have to go through the quests again to check. A2 has the City of Blood quest line, i believe it's called. It's quick from the start of the game to the boss, with at least 1 unique monster (that ive gotten at least 4 rares from) and a resplendent chest on the way. Maybe 5-8 minutes for a run that I can do. Easy boss fight.


That's the main thing for me and farming. Skeleton King may be worth it, but I don't know where you start off in the game with that quest. May be too long to be viable for me.

In the mean time, I am on the Asia servers if anyone feels like playing and passing time.

Playing as a Monk after trying out Demon Hunter in the beta. I'm liking him so far, though it doesn't look like he uses the 1H weapons when attacking. Wiki says he does though so I need to play around with it.

I got around 30 minutes in before I got booted out. Maintenance again!

Just a FYI, if you want to play just to play and pass the time.

Play on the Europe or Asia server. Its in options -> account before you log in.

I'm on Asia. Granted, stuff doesn't carry over... but hey... you still get to play the game you paid for.

Ha. NA servers are still down.

Loving the game so far. <3 my witch doctor. And man, retail is quite a bit harder than beta. I've actually died a few times. Still, wish server would be up but that's just the way it is with blizzard. They'll get it sorted out.

Is the online connection required for DRM purposes or does it contribute something else? I enjoyed D2 even though I got it years after its peak of popularity and played it only solo, and see no reason to enjoy this any other way. I'm hoping there is no pseudo-compulsory multiplayer component of any sort.

From what I hear - you can use some Auction Hall to buy items with Gold or real money. And apparently it allows you to use your "single player" character in multiplayer games as well.

Don't quote me on it, though, because I haven't got the game. That's just from what I've been reading.
