Just hop on Diablo 2... it's hard to find a decent party to play with, 90% of the accounts on D2 are just bots. And the human players that are playing are using the maphack to rush just so they can get their player high enough to run a bot. I think that's what Blizzard was trying to eliminate and had to sacrafice offline to get rid of it.
I understand, and I'm not really that passionate about the subject, it's just annoying to require a online presence for a offline game.

It makes sense, because Blizzard cannot code a bug and dupe free game then just require internet. I'm a software guy, I'd do the same thing if I could. So much easier to require internet than it would be to plug all the glaring holes they probably have.

All the installing and fixing an issue where the game wasn't updating properly only to FINALLY log in and get Error 37 - Servers are full.

Now this is when online only gets really annoying.

Just got in on my first try when attempting to log in just now....keep trying, trust me error 37's nowhere near as bad as last night.

It sucks because I think this is the direction gamings taking. I remember reading an article about the PS4 possibly requiring a constant internet connection to help prevent piracy and used game sales.

consoles don't need to really do that though as hacking the code is a completely different animal. besides, there are TONS of people who own consoles who have no internet or no console internet access and that's probably not near as prevalent for people with PCs.

I get a random error every time. After an hour I still haven't got in. I need to go for a walk or something before I lose it.

I fell asleep watching the Laker game around 8:00 pm. Woke up at 3 am and went ahead and installed it and played until 4:30. Got to level 7; however, I was in the beta so nothing really new to me.

Select the USA servers and you will be fine, i had also the same problem login in the Euro ones, seems that were not ready for the demand in Europe. You can switch servers zone anytime.

I can't speak for the other classes but I started with a Barbarian this morning and am loving it. That and the Barbarian is the only returing class from D2.

Started with a Wizard (my main in WoW as well). Love the ray of frost. Very cool.

Demon hunter is pretty fun, not normally a fan of ranged classes, but they have good crowd control skills and evasise skills. Overall, having a blast with this class.

That is a tip I got as well. Then I started receiving Error 315300 (I'm starting to believe there is actually 300,000 errors on the go). A fix was to create a new Admin account. Well that didn't work. Now I'm reading delete Battle.net and Blizzard from Program Data so I'm trying that now. Good grief.
