Im building a cpu for this game and was wondering if the build below would run it. I have no clue as to whats better and such so looking at the minimal requirements tells me nothing.

My desktop PC ran it fine at medium/high quality and it doesn't have as good a specs as these. Its a quad core but only has 4gb of ram and a Geforce GT260. So yeah not only would that run it but it should run it at maximum everything.

Yes, that's right, unless you want the Collectors Edition which is going for like $200 or something because it's sold out most everywhere.

Yeah those specs are more than enough to run the game smoothly. I have an intel i3 2100 which gives great gaming performance, so you shouldn't have a problem running Diablo with an i5. Also take a look at fractal design computer cases, they have great ventilation and look really cool, and are affordable. The two most difficult decisions I faced when building my first rig were deciding which computer case to use and what power supply to go with.

You will run this on max settings without any issue. I was in the Beta with the following:

C2D 3.6 ghz
560ti
8 gb ram

Ran at max at 60 fps.


Blizzard games are not known for their graphical complexity. In fact, I found Diablo to be a tad bit disappointing as far as how it looked. But they are smart in that they allow millions of people to enjoy their games by easing up in the graphics department.

I have high hopes for this game. They sure took their time getting it released, which should be a good thing. Game looks great from the vids and screenshots I have seen so far. Guess we will find out next week.

I use STEAM as my catch all meaning "Download"
So basically wherever I can get it downloaded from...

I tried, I really did. I said I wouldn't but here I am, one week away from the release of this beauty and I'm reinstalling D2 LOD for what must be the tenth time.

Also for those who avoid spoilers:

If you’re to be the lucky owner of a Collector’s Edition, we highly recommend you wait until after you have completed the game on Normal before opening the art book or watching the behind-the-scenes DVD/Blu-ray. Both of these items contain big spoilers, and should probably be avoided until later.
