So this isn't coming to consoles? Heard a rumor a long time ago that they had a dev. team working on 360 and PS3 versions--guess that was false.

It's a shame because D2 is like my favorite game ever but I won't have the hardware to play this one.

As far as I know it's still a rumor and not been shot down. Plus isn't there suppose to be some big announcement soon?

Also I want o find a CPU to run this and the old republic. I was thinking this: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Asus+-+E...&skuId=2634111

I only need it to run Diablo 3 and The Old Republic. I was thinking this and updating the graphics card. Not sure about CPU's so I thought I get some advice.

I started playing D2 again a few weeks ago to kind of prep for this and because I was bored. I was really enjoying it and looking forward to D3. I'm not happy with Blizzard dumbing down the game though. In one of the beta videos I saw it looks like all of your stats are auto updated rather than you being able to allocate how much str, dex, etc...you want to have. That one lack of feature almost completely turns me off from this.

Congrats! I've been trying to get beta and no luck at all.
I guess in hindsight it doesn't matter as I'm buying it regardless.
D1 and D2 have given me so many great memories that D3 is a instant purchase.

Beta is pretty good, so far.

The game still feels like Diablo - but with more story telling, more interaction with NPCs, and much broader, more interesting world.

The atmosphere is really great - sounds and graphics wise, they've made some great changes.

Beta is fantastic. Downloaded last night, played for around 2:30 hours. Very addicting. Reached level 9, on my way to find the skeleton king. This is going to be a fun game, can't wait.

Do you know if it is like other Blizz games and that you can just get the download link off of the website to install the game? I don't have a DVD drive on my laptop. :wink:
