That's what I am saying. Once this drops on PS4 I am all over it, unless I cave before then.

Good console game as I know it was a PC game exclusivley till now.
Check out the Champions of Norrath games for the ps2/XBOX. There's also Lord of the Rings: War in the North and Dungeon Siege 3. (haven't played them)

My question is…does Diablo 3 on consoles have manual blocking, aiming of ranged attacks... like the BG: Dark Alliance, Champions of Norrath games, say ?

A&S…there's also the Marvel Ultimate Alliance games which are similar co-op type games (super hero setting instead of fantasy)

Champions of Norrath (1 and 2) PS2 only, were fantastic games!
BG Dark Alliance was great series on the XBox/PS2.

Sacred 2 on PS3/360, not bad, but buggy.
Dungeon Siege 3, not bad, but the camera angle was wonky.

Dungeon Hunter Alliance (PSN download game).

          Diablo 3:

I feel this is the best Hack N Slash of the PS3/360 Era.

There is no manual blocking per say, but there is dodge and roll to avoid attacks. It works VERY well as you can roll in 8 different directions.

Here is the control layout for Diablo 3 on the Consoles:

LTrigger - Lock Target Focus on mob (not configurable)
LBumper - Healing Pot (not configurable??)
          LStick - movement
LStick press down - No function/Cannot be configured to do anything
          Dpad - UP-Quick weapon swap, Down-Full screen map, Right-Town portal, Left -???
RTrigger - Configurable spell buttonRButton - Configurable spell button
RStick - Dodge/Roll (not configurable)RStick press down - Put a beacon light on a location to direct group (not configurable??)
          A,B,X,Y - Configurable spell buttons

The PS4 version will have all the Content of Diablo 3 plus the new Expansion. It's going to be $60 bucks. If you have D3 on the PS3, you can transfer over your save file to the PS4 version.

This game is completely worth the time! The coop is very well done. The game looks good, but more so, plays great!

            Re: Diablo 3

Man, this game owns my soul and basically has for months.

I've had a PS4 since release, and as much as I've loved BF4, the various issues have been frustrating. So I took a break to dive back into Diablo with my level 60 demon hunter, Paragon level 7.

Decided to do a couple runs on Master 1 which I had never tried with my buddy, and actually held my own. Knowing that I can manage level 1, I've been farming the crap out of the keywardens to try to get the Hellfire Ring. So far I have two of the three organ pieces to make the ring, and am just continuing to collect keys to keep making runs at the ubers.

The nice thing is, on my travels farming the keys, I've picked up some bigtime upgrades. All it takes is one solid upgrade for me to get the "itch" again with this game, and I wind up playing all day.

I also need to try to get the third piece for the Staff of Herding so I can farm Wymsyshire.

I'll definitely be snagging this for PS4 and carrying my characters over. Got a level 60 Barb and the level 60 DH. Can't wait to try out the new class as well.

Almost died on my HC monk when I got stuck inside one of the walls that a mob casted and proceeded to fire bomb me. For a brief second I thought that was it and started to think if I wanted to play the class again on my next HC attempt. Potion plus my companion's heal saved me.

You're a better man than me. I could never do HC. I'd be furious putting in all those hours just to die. The only one I could be bothered to try is the Barbarian, as he's the least squishy of any of the classes.

But yeah, I feel ya on the wallers. There is nothing worse for my Demon Hunter than being trapped by one of those SOB's. I can handle anything else on Master 1, and pretty much anything on Master 2, but getting walled in with a large mob around me leaves me crazy vulnerable. Thankfully, my Templar is quite the effective tank and can usually distract mobs long enough for me to get out. God bless Vault.

I was the same way but I figured to try it to reinvigorate the game for me. So far its done it, its a whole new level and I spend more time caring since its just 1 and done. I'm only doing self found stuff (not even sure if you can use the AH on Hardcore mode; your account chest from Normal to Hardcore doesn't transfer over).

There are a few bosses that I figure will be the end of my character

HC has its own auction house, completely seperated from Normal. And it doesn't have the RMAH, only gold.

I can't imagine all the phone calls they'd get for refunds on gear that someone bought with real money only to die because of a server hiccup or lag.

19hrs+ with witch doctor, lvl 39, maybe 20 magic find: 1 legendary drop for monk...

                          lol
I got a legendary on my first character at level 23, and then not again for a long time. I now have three level 60 characters, but I primarily use my monk, who is paragon 27.

I started to find legendaries quite consistently once I started doing the following: In my quest for a Hellfire ring I started to farm the keywardens heavily, and I would join up a multiplayer game with three other randoms to increase my gold/magic find with nephalem valor. During that time I realized it's a lot of fun to farm the fields of misery. Farming fields of misery, it's easy to get five stacks of nephalem valor, and between that, having the boost from three teammates that all increase your gold/magic find, and farming the keywardens, I started to find 2-3 legendaries a day. Some were crap, and were turned into fiery brimstone. Others I sold for a few dollars on the RMAH, and others I actually used.

Finding 2-3 legendaries a day is nothing compared to what some of the top streamers do, but it was a huge leap from where I was before.

If you haven't tried Path of Exile, its probably the deepest and most polished ARPG out there right now. Its free to play as well, so no reason to not try it.

Very indepth builds, deep currency system, and new seasons start every few months for players that want to play with a reset ladder instead of an inflated economy.
