I got to play for about 3 hours this morning before I had to go to work. Overall I've very pleased with the game. I was really surprised how fast the difficulty ramps up. The moon clan guys that throw spears are nasty. My first death was at the hands of them + me vaulting into those exploding flower things

Sent out a friend invite to what I think is everyone who posted in here. Got to play for 2 1/2 hours this morning and it was wellw worth it (now I'm at work ). If I missed anyone feel free to sent me a request, I'll be on after I get out of work around 430 if anyone wants to join up then (level 11 already).

Played for a few hours before work. Beyond anxious to play again after work, might dip out early in fact

Even I'm not that hardcore, need my sleep! But then again, I couldn't have played if I wanted to, still waiting on my Collectors Edition to show up today. The UPS guy usually shows around 2pm, hope he's early today though!!

Do you think I could play this on my MacBook? It's an early 2011 model with an Intel HD 3000 graphics card. Thanks guys!

It's easy to wake up around 3am when you go to bed at 9 lol. Earliest I've went to bed in a long time, only thing I missed was the hurtin OKC put on the Lakers.

Yeah I watched my Lakers get smashed, then smashed up skeletons with my Barbarian once the servers settled in. Really love the game, can't wait to get a good session once work is out today

Most likely, I played with a PC that was older than that ok in the beta. The only thing I wonder about though is that video card. Here's the link to the requirements:

EDIT: That video card is supported in low performance mode..

It's getting killed on user reviews at Metacritic. I've been reading that stats are automatically applied upon leveling up. That really stinks because I loved agonizing over which direction to take my characters in Diablo 2. From what I'm reading here, D3 is not as bad as what they're saying over at Metacritic.

Not sure how anyone can judge the game when its been live for six hours and has hardly been explored. Probably people mad the servers were unstable and it was damn near impossible to log in for about an hour post launch. Personally love it.

Stats are auto applied but that doesnt really matter much to me. Seems natural

From the looks of things people are going nuts over the launch. The fact that it took a while to log on is rubbing people the wrong way (Which is stupid IMO). I've seen a lot of 1 star reviews on Amazon and other places because of Error 37. That's right a 1 star review of an error from battle.net login servers, not even the actual game.

The auto-level has been known for about a year now, anyone that's followed the game knows about it and the reasons behind it. You can still customize your character in many other ways.

I read a really great article about this and why they did it and I'm glad they did (although initially I was like you and unhappy about it). The base reason is that people who built characters incorrectly themselves when they got higher level could not advance any further.

For example, if you mistakenly applied too many points to INTELLIGENCE when you were a Barbarian, it's just wasted points.

                                Re: Diablo 3

Here's a great article on Diablo 3 and how it works.

Diablo III's core Attributes are Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, and Vitality. Different classes get different bonuses from these attributes. Each one can be broken down into other, more fundamental attributes.

Note this comment: "Although attributes are automatically-placed in Diablo III, passive skills and the ability to socket very high level gems should allow for as much or more character variety as was possible in Diablo II, where attributes could be placed wherever a player desired."
