I will probably be on later also if you want to team up. Since I have a wedding to go to this weekend I'll probably be on late to kick the gaming addiction so I can get through the weeekend lol. This addiction feels like highschool all over again with D2.

Sounds good. I'll keep an eye out for you. I know about the addiction issues. I only wish there was a paladin class like D2. Mind you, I have WoW for that now

I love playing solo, but playing with the OS peeps has been lots of fun. Blizzard really did an excellent job making this game easy to play coop

Then people make gimmicky highly specialized builds that work (albeit with plenty of deaths) and Blizz says nah **** you guys. Nerf.

Diablo 2 was never hard. The joy of these games is not the difficulty, its the dungeon crawling "don't know what loot lies ahead around the next turn."

How many patches did D2 have changing class abilities for "balance"? Less than d3 has had already, I'm sure.

This isnt WoW-lite, Blizzard. This is Diablo. Making my almost 60k HP Barb get one shot in Act 2 Inferno isn't fun, its stupid.

Next time you beta a game, beta the whole thing not a glorified half-act demo.

Hearing the frustration from Barbs in inferno and not sure what to think. Perhaps I should have rolled Witch Doctor but I haven't finished NM yet and I'm level 50 so ill reserve judgment until I'm 2 shot like everyone else seems to be

Diablo 2 was actually pretty unbalanced out of the gate. Then they balanced it and the expansion came out and unbalanced everything all over again. I think we just need to give it some time and let them work out the issues.

One thing I think they need to mess with are the bosses and mobs. The random champion mobs should not be harder then the final boss on the cover of the game.

That's the thing though. Diablo isn't wow. Its not supposed to be balanced, but each class should be able to solo the game. Some may be inherently harder than others, that's fine.

Inferno is just broken. I'm cool with champions and elites being harder than Diablo. Some of them get some pretty tough rolls for skills.

This is another thing that's horrid about online only - auto updates.

Don't like a patch? Too bad - you have to install it, even if you're playing single player and don't want to update for whatever reason.

I remember in Diablo 2 - people held back at certain updates. I remember specifically playing one a patch or two behind way back when, because it was just considered a better version.

1. Wizard
2. Glass Cannon Demon Hunter Build
3. Witch Doctor/Monk
4. Barb

Below are my summaries of the characters based on my research and experience.

The reason Witch Doctor and Monk are basically even is listen below:

1. Wizard
----All in all the best character in the game. Does some of the highest DPS and with the right build can take 2 to 3 hits in Inferno without dying. Easiest character to solo inferno with as well.

2. Demon Hunter
----Does the most Damage in the game with the Glass Cannon build. Downside is with that build you get one shot killed a lot. That's where the term glass cannon comes from. Second easiest to solo inferno and last parts of Hell. Just Kite(method of aggroing(getting the attention of)groups of mobs(enemy groups) little at a time and killing them)and blast.

3. Witch Doctor/Monk
----Witch Doctor was voted the best CC(crowed control), debuffing and buffing class. Great for in team play. Can also solo alright but you have to be quick.

----The monk has better DPS(damage per second) and survivability rating then the Witch Doctor. Heath as well.

Both voted third best at soloing hell and inferno with good gear.

4. Barb
----Voted worse of all the classes for soloing hell/inferno. The barb revenge build is really the only sure way to go but that isn't certain yet. Probably the strictest character out of all of them all for gear. Basically need great gear to succeed. However it can be done and more ways to do it are coming out however you need to have the most patience with him. The video post above explains things greatly.

This game is mad addicting. Got to level 28 with my Wizard last night. I've gone back to farm Belial for loot a few times. Ever since I unlocked Disintegrate, it's been all but over for huge mobs. Drop blizzard, freeze nova if they get too close, then destroy with disintegrate. Haven't really fooled with other powers yet. Ones like slow time and teleport don't seem all that great (maybe I don't have the right runes unlocked for them).

I thought D2 was pretty hard. I'm playing through it again on 1.12 because of multires. Duriel is harder than anything in D3 so far (at Act 4 normal of course).

I have a Level 38 Wizard and use similar skills. I have the armor that keeps me invulnerable for 4 or 5 seconds. I rush a mob, hit armor, lay down Meteor (which becomes awesome in the mid 30s) freeze mob with Freeze Nova, and then drop Blizzard as I run away and wait for recharge. I can survive pretty tough mobs solo with this.

You'll love teleport once you get into the next difficulties, especially solo vs elite mobs

Heh, "Glass Cannon" used to describe the DH again....it just fits so well.

I just like those kinds of characters...makes it feel more like a true action RPG when you have to keep moving to stay alive.
