Re: Diablo 3
I think I might finish the campaign once solo before playing more coop. I jumped in coop last night. It was great but the people I played with were just blowing through the story. Also this guy gave me 2 million coins through trade. So I'm guessing he had already played through story mode 50 times so I can understand why they were moving quickly. Once you do it a few times it's more or less about leveling up.Comment

Re: Diablo 3
Do you guys recommend starting with each class to see what I enjoy best or just roll with what I have so far?
Will I know who's game that Monster came from? Like will I know it was Monster from your game?Comment

Re: Diablo 3
Adventure mode makes leveling not such a pain, though it is easy in this game. You don't have to keep playing through the story, you can just hop in and do the bounties (5 in each act per game) and Rifts (you get shards by doing bounties, 5 shards opens a rift portal which is just a map [or series of connected maps] filled with monsters and once the bar fills up from killing enough a big boss spawns. Increased drop rate for legendaries in the rifts.)
Honestly, until you have all the different skill/rune/passive skill combinations unlocked for all the different classes it's real hard to tell which one you will enjoy the most in this game as changing a couple of those in combination can completely change the way you play/how much you enjoy any given class.badComment

Re: Diablo 3
Yeah under the monsters healthbar, it'll say like nemesis of mikenoob or whoever he killed.

Re: Diablo 3
I'd say keep with what you have now, but once you get it leveled up and unlock adventure mode (after beating act V) is when to start playing around with other classes.

Re: Diablo 3
I played the first night but I have so many videos to still upload all in 1080p. Takes forever. I can't wait to play more this weekend.

Re: Diablo 3
I know this is a bit random, but I wouldn't mind doing it if it's something people are interested in.
Would anyone here be interested in like... "a noob's guide" to this? I know it being on consoles has opened the game up to a crowd of people that may have not played this before. It's pretty basic to get into, but there are some things to look for once you get to the higher levels of the game that the game would never explain to you.
For instance, one of those is a legendary weapon without a socket is pretty much useless to you (if you have a rare or legendary with a socket.) For any sort of efficiency you need a weapon with at least 1 socket and that socket has to be taken with the best emerald (+% to crit damage) that you can afford.
The "guide" would cover a lot more than that (and a lot of the basic stuff as well, like breaking down the classes). It wouldn't be fancy (just a word document with links when appropriate) but if it's something you guys here would be interested in I can definitely help out and at least get started on that some more.badComment

I'm pretty well versed in the game and I am certain there are some tips you could give me to help me out. Please do this.YNWAComment

Re: Diablo 3
On the PC I always just kept replaying story mode, is adventure mode really just all around better to play than story mode? I'm in act five now should be finished tonight"Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: Diablo 3
Adventure mode was much better for me because there was a lot of randomness to it. Through story mode I know exactly what to expect from start to finish, so it got boring after a few times.Comment

Re: Diablo 3
Once I had adventure mode unlocked, I never touched story mode again even when starting a new character. The only caveat to that was beating the last boss in Act V for the quest on Torment difficulty (there are some legendaries/sets that only drop in Torment difficulty) at level 70 to get the guaranteed legendary drop from that boss. Outside of that, there's no real reason to play the story again. The boxes from finishing an act's bounties have a chance to drop legendaries that can only come from those boxes (and a couple of them are absolutely amazing) and the Rifts are easy XP with all the monsters in the maps PLUS increased chance of legendaries dropping.badComment
