Good point.

San Andreas was a pretty freakin huge game too and they'd atleast need to go that large.

I would not be shocked if they included some Long Island sites. Hell, they should recreate the LIE while they're at it

LC didnt look like NYC at all, it is going to be weird seeing the LC map mixed with the real NYC.

I think it's possible for the game world to be too large. In San Andreas there were missions where travelling across the entire map was tiresome, especially when they had to be repeated as a result of failure.

I generally am a fan of a bigger environment, as it usually results in more diversity and things to do, but if the expanded area isn't implemented properly it can also hold a game back.

btw play Driver Parallel Lines, this game is great in terms of showing a detailed NYC. The game had full Manhattan, full Queens, a bit of Brooklyn, Bronx and a bit of Jersey!. All with amazing detail and lighting, 2 eras( 70s, 2006)

GTA clearly are trying to yet again out do Driver. Then we wait for Driver next gen, which will try to out do SA type of map/setting.

TC:NYC is perhaps the best recreation of a full scal GPS Manhattan, so GTA4 will do the same or not maybe more like Driver PL

too bad driver can't play as well as it looks.

Cities generally aren't safe, especially cities like New York. Maybe in Times Square and the tourist sections it's fine but where my aunt and cousins lived and other places I've been, they weren't the best neighborhoods. I didn't say it was scary and dangerous or any more dangerous than the next city but it's nowhere near being safe.

****, the police scare me more than the regular people in New York.

I no my friend was in New York and was walking down Main Street well the first half was fine but the second half was not.......they were walking down and a whole bunch people ran towards them and started asking to buy cd's....jerseys and other stuff.......well this one guy asked him if he liked basketball and he said yes then he turned to his mother and said,"I like ur son I like basketball he likes basketball we have alot in common i might just take ur son we will have basketball games and everything"......he said it was the scariest thing that he has ever been through.....lol i feel bad for him

That's everyday stuff. When I was about seven, I was in NY Penn Station when some whacked-out homeless lady offered to sell me a "biting string." She elaborated, "It's a string... that bites." She proved her point by whipping me with it.

LMAO that is too funny... that's the thing. You're talking tourist areas where there is a ton of traffic... things like these stories are no big deal here in NYC.

It's almost as if people can tell you're not from around here.

Head on out to Times Square alone on a late Saturday and it's just masses of tourists... and they just scream tourists. Girls wearing no jackets in the freezing cold, people traveling in groups of 10 pointing at everything they've never seen before... it's obvious to spot a tourist. And believe it or not, the "tourist" is the one person that buys all the crazy **** off the street, probably more so than a New Yorker. Just like any other city. How many times have you traveled somewhere and someone tells you "Oh man, be careful of so and so?" NYC will definitely consume you if you're naive, though....

Man, I love the way this game is shaping up. Simply amazing... I can't wait. Would be nice to go to the building I work at and such...

This game could be borderline educational. I'm a soon-to-be Social Studies teacher and have never been to New York. If all of Liberty City turns out to resemble NYC as well as the trailer shows then I could learn a thing or two...At least thats what I'll tell myself.

Completely agree. As much as I've loved traveling, not many cities can match NYC.
