The "No Fail" Mode is a godsend. I never ever want to play this game in a party setting without it. everyone thinks they are "killer" on the drums and then end up getting a 39% on easy (its true, i watched it happen)

We were playing Rock Band at someone's house one time and it literally took 2 people to do drums on easy. Granted it was after a few drinks, but still...easy drums are pretty basic. I was only drumming on medium and everyone though I was amazing. Haha.

I always put the game on "No Fail" during parties as well. Some people lose interest if they keep failing out.

Can anyone comment on if the RB2 guitar is a good one?

I love the RB1 guitar, and I want another one so I can have bass/guitar. I'm looking at the RB2 guitar, though, because it just looks awesome.

I'm curious if those who have used it would say it works well like the first, or if they've messed anything up - or maybe even made it better somehow.

I've only used the Rock Band 2 guitar at demo kiosks, but I do like it better than the original Rock Band guitar, and slightly more than the GH3 Les Paul as well. I'd get it myself if I had the money.

I got the RB2 guitar for Christmas, have only used it one or two times but it's definitely better than the RB guitar, in my opinion. Strum bar feels more natural, it's wireless and it looks a lot better.,

The RB2 guitar is the one that came with the RB2 special edition box, correct?

If so, I really like it. The only problem is... well, let me digress for a second... I bought this game back with the $109.99 Toys R Us deal and the drum kit didn't work in some aspects, so I ordered a replacement to ship to my house because I was going on break in a few days, so I brought my game at home and checked it in at the airport. Problem is, airport "people" must have stolen my luggage, so I guess they will compensate us, and for Christmas I got an entirely new box with game and instruments.

Anyway, my first guitar was flawless. This one seems to have a "looser" strum bar, so it is kind of loud when it reverts to its default position after I strum. The other problem is I have to tilt the guitar a lot higher to activate overdrive.

Sounds faulty.

Anybody use a USB hub other than the one that came with the game? Mine's been acting up lately and I'm considering buying one.

I'd get a replacement. I had the issue on my original RB guitar and did the fix and it worked.................................. For around 2 hours. And then it broke again. I have to get a new one now.
