Re: Rock Band 2
Weird Al was asked about getting some songs in Rock Band/Guitar Hero and here's what he said...
That is not up to me. I haven't been approached but I would love to be in Guitar Hero, Rock Band. I love Guitar Hero and Rock Band, the whole franchise. But I would love to be included if there are any Rock Band executives out there. So ya, okay?Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment

Re: Rock Band 2
I was just thinking about the amount of songs some of us have for Rock Band. One guy I noticed has over 400 DLC songs! Anyway, if you have a PS3, you can't transfer the songs from one HDD to another which means if your console dies, you have to DL each and every song again. I ran into this a few months ago and was pissed. Luckily, Sony sent me back the same unit with all my files still on the hard drive.
I really think that Sony and Rock Band need to solve this for PS3 owners because that's quite a bit of coin invested in downloaded songs.NOW PLAYING: Battlefield 3, MLB 12 The Show

Re: Rock Band 2
I actually can't play like 95% of my rockband DLC without being logged into Live because of MS's horrible license DRM. For some reason you can only use the license tool once a year, since I guess a more reasonable 3 months or so couldn't have had the same effect to keep the license transfer shenanigans down.Comment

So far, I've spent just a little more than $650 on DLC alone. Probably over $1000 by the time you count the games/instruments/etc.

Re: Rock Band 2
By the way, I don't think it's been mentioned but I'd like to inform yall that Pepsi and Rock Band have a promotion going on all summer long that involves free DLC, RB2 bundle, an Xbox 360 or even a trip.
Basically, buy a Pepsi (make sure it has a RB instrument logo on the cap) and look under the cap. If there's a code, go to PepsiRockBand.com and enter the code. If you win, you get a point.
You can either use that to try and win free DLC or try for the other prizes mentioned earlier.
If you win, you get to choose from this list which song you want.
So far, I've bought 5 Pepsi's in the last two days. First one was a buy one get one free cap. The last four all had codes and all four happened to win.
Essentially I paid around 6 bucks and managed to get Pepsi plus four Alice Cooper songs.
There's still 77 tracks on the list that I don't have so you can bet your *** I'll be drinking Pepsi all summer. Downside is that Mountain Dew isn't included otherwise it'd be so much easier.Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment
