PS3 is finally getting the "Sort by Stars" update this week. Also, it seems they sort of fixed the sorting update. You don't have to beat a previous score anymore for the stars to show up. I'm guessing you'll still have to play each song once to get the stars on there, but at least we don't have to beat previous scores we posted.

Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Would've like to have seen "Down in a Hole", "Angry Chair", or "Damn That River", but still very solid choices.

Re: Rock Band 2
Awesome, that's some good AIC.
The PS3 Rock Band 2 star sorting and RBN update came out yesterday, but like most of their PS3 support, it was broke too. Maybe it will be working tonight.

Re: Rock Band 2
But, but... we just had Alice In Chains.
Again, new material! Doesn't matter if it was us getting Led Zeppelin twice in the same quarter, that's too many close together that might as well have been together in the first place.
I guess I'm different when I say I would like to see more new bands.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Rock Band 2
I have a few questions for you guys. First, do all instruments interact identically with Rock Band 2? By that I mean, would a Guitar Hero: World Tour microphone sound as pure on Rock Band as it does on GH: WT? Secondly, is there any one guitar that sticks out as being the best to use? And third, is there a particular place to go to purchase a guitar and mic at a reasonable price?Comment

Re: Rock Band 2
1. Mics are fine, any USB mic works apprently. Drums are different. The slider/solo notes on the guitars are different but they're still the same for the main purpose.
2. I like the Gretsch and I would guess the Rickenbacker is equally as good. Most people like the X-plorer but I sit down to play a lot and trying to play with that while sitting just isn't a good idea but even standing I don't like it.
3. The mic that comes with the newest Karaoke Revolution works fine and the game is only $50. Depends on the guitar but the Gretsch is $99 everywhere far as I know, though checking into that it appears to have dropped off the face of the planet and isn't available anymore.Comment

I downloaded the Alice pack last night with all intentions of playing all the songs, but 2k10's My Player took over my evening.Comment

Re: Rock Band 2
Personally I think the Rockband 2 Strat is the best guitar out there. It's quiet (no loud clicking) and it's durable. I even prefer the fret buttons to the GH style frets.
And to say that using the 360 mic is a dropoff in quality is totally understating how bad it is. I tried singing with the headset mic once and I would almost fail out of songs on easy that I could 5 star on hard. It just doesn't work as well as the mic.Xbox Live Gamertag: MizzouBrentComment

Re: Rock Band 2
I'm looking to get that guitar. Does the overdrive actually work on the 2nd gen Strat? The original RB guitar is horrid when it comes to this. Select button only OR it'll go into overdrive at any given time! Frustrating.Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon. Re: Rock Band 2
The 2nd gen drums on the other hand... don't get me started on those. I have had nothing but problems with mine. Laggy input, frequent connection drops, etc.Ryan Spencer
