Finally got my RB2 back and can download some songs...

Already picked up DOA and Times Like These, along with a RHCP song or two.

What other, recent, ones are good?

The people my wife works with brought Rock Band (1) to their office Christmas party the other night. They only had one guitar and you had to play drums on a lousy chair with arms, but it was still a good time. I hadn't played drums in quite a while, but after I watched other people mess around with the game for a while they convinced me to sit in. I wanted to play one of the songs I can't play anymore in RB2, so I pounded out Enter Sandman on expert drums.

Nobody played the game the rest of the night....

Alright, the Roy Orbison pack was confirmed by a HMX dev just a few hours ago.

Very exciting.

My roommate and I have done the same thing before at a party. Everyone was playing and pretty much everyone was drunk, so they were doing terrible on easy and medium.

Someone wanted to play "Gimme Shelter" so I hopped on drums and he played bass. We both got 100's on expert and no one wanted to play after that.

Exactly what happens to me with guitar. I don't want to brag, but I hate being modest too... I also don't want to say that I'm good at expert and stuff because then there will be some no-life that jumps out from the crowd who does nothing but tries to perfect Jordan and challenges me.

Normally I just like to watch people play, in these circumstances.

thats how it was with me and nba 2k, when people found out i worked for them

Its like nobody wanted to have fun at the game their whole purpose was to just try their hardest to beat me.

Obviously they failed miserably, but thats neither here nor there.

That's the thing, I wasn't looking to show off, but at the same time I wanted to have fun and playing on anything other than expert is pretty damn boring. So I figured I'd bump it up and have some fun, but then everyone ended up intimidated or something. Whatever.

Yeah, if you know you can play the song on expert - especially on drums, in my opinion - playing it on Hard is just plain boring.

and Spiderwebs might be good but I already have it in GHWT (it's good in that + has a sing-a-long) so didn't buy it again.

For the Orbinson stuff,Singstar has Only the Lonely,Pretty Woman and Crying so I would guess those 3 would be included....they also have 15 Queen songs in the UK.

Even worse, I'll make a routinely trip to Best Buy trying to price match more edge-enhanced Blu-rays with a Walmart ad when I stumble by the GH/RB "kiosk" and stand like a d-bag behind the 11 year old kid playing Eye of the Tiger on medium, then when it's my turn, I nonchalantly ease into the strap of the guitar, going, "Yeah, I'll give it a shot," crank the receiver past 0 dB, then bust out on Everlong on expert at 100% while the kid watches in amazement and more people come behind me. Then they ask how long I've played the game and I say, "Well, I've owned some of them a long time ago but haven't played them in forever... this is my first time playing RB though, so that means I'm cool for doing well at it."

Then I put the guitar down, say, "Might wanna let that cool down for a second," leave the "kiosk" area, and walk out of Best Buy, forgetting to buy the Blu-ray movies I was going to price-match.

Don't know how this reminded me, but I need to make a gif avatar of what I currently have in anticipation of getting the BD in a couple of days. Off to work!

I agree 100%. If you go back to Hard it feels like you are just going through the motions.
