Don't know if Napoleon will be in it, but the French during his time period will be. It has alot of different factions which will be great to play.

I hope that this game will be what Imperial Glory should have been. Imperial Glory was still a pretty fun game in its own right but had some flaws.

Did any of you guys play Cossacks II? It would be awesome if they controlled the combat like that game. I loved moving the lines into position for a well timed volley.

I've watched that Land Battle gameplay vid about 30 times.

This game is going to be absolutely sick.

The Total War games definitely rock, and I want to see what the 'new multiplayer modes' are all about. May we finally see some form of online campaign? That would be fantastic.

I'll definitely need a new computer for this, mine is 4.5 years old.

My brother who is a History major just took me to task on this game and why its crap. Apparently the battle formations are not correct and they do not fight 100% historically accurate. Also according to him... these game companies count on people like 'me' to buy their game because real historians like him know how off their game is... and that the developer that was good with the historic part of the game left to form their own company.

My response... 'but its soooo pretty!!!'

Well the historians can have fun painting their figures and trying to get 3 friends to come over and roll some dice. Or play those matrix games.

I'll take a few innaccuracies if I can control some line infantry on a grand scale.

They should just sell whatever computer you need to run this game with the game. I'd pay a pretty penny if the game is that good.

I still play Medieval Total War 2. I have the Stainless Steel Mod with the Kingdoms update and love it.

I will buy this as soon as it comes out.

Tell your brother to go to TWCenter.com. They make some of the best, historical mods for these games that you'll ever see.

They are really very good at their jobs. I've dl from them many times an very happy with it, and I am a huge history buff.

Your brother is a pretentious twat, I recommend kicking him in the nuts the next time you see him, right after telling him that this is a game and it's supposed to be a fun simulation. He's like those guys complaining about sock color and refusing to buy a game.

He heads to the marines after graduating College this year... so it'd be tough to talk back...

And trust me... he has ALL the mods... from TW, as well as pretty much every strategy game made like Cossacks and all these foreign made strategy games... he's a war simulation nut.

Yeah though, these games aren't 100% realistic and they'll never be...these 100% perfection guys are jousting windmills IMO.

Ha.....Marines are the toughest things on earth for certain(the only thing tougher is a Devildog that becomes a fireman!:wink

....but they still have some weakness.
Okay....you're going to have to get him REALLY drunk on Tequila.....or Agua Diente.....then you'll have to go to a pretty seedy bar and pay a transvestite to come onto him.In his drunken state he won't be able to tell. When he finds the "package" he'll flip(he may want to kill the tranny...so be prepared to drag him out quick!)........so just calm his *** down.
Then next time he starts his B.S. about what the game is and what it isn't....just remind him that not everything is what it seems to be....give him a wink:wink: and he'll clam up.

Then you can back to that awesome looking game!
