Re: The Sims 3
Complaints from a friend (my comp barely runs this website and has an awesome whole 192 mb of RAM so I can't play),only one should bother anyone here...
Too many single moms.
Can't adjust boob size. (she wanted hers to be bigger than real life)
Only 3 kissing options.
Too slow of a pace. Too much sleep/work with not enough time for other stuff so she had to cheat to get the time.Comment

Re: The Sims 3
I heard the time to sleep is actually faster than the sims 2 according to a person at the Sims Resource forum.Comment

Re: The Sims 3
So...for all of us who decided to create ourselves, what traits did you pick? Here's mine, and I think it describes me pretty well:
Computer Whiz - My sim spends about as much time on the computer as I do. Also opens up social interactions which actually do a great job of taking care of that need. Fun and social needs in one place - and maybe even a little revenue stream!
Hot-Headed: This is a fun one - it's like I'm looking in the mirror when my sim goes ballistic over the computer or other stuff breaking down.
Loner - Sort of regretting this one as I don't freak out over being around 3 or 4 people, but it's about as close as I could get to my introverted self. The positive mood benefit from being alone is much more like how I really feel.
Unflirty - not completely true by name, but the ones without this trait are flirt machines, so I had to dial it back a bit.
Good: I like to think I am, anyway.Comment

Re: The Sims 3
Hey, does anyone know how to turn off aging?
I went in the options, and the ability to turn off aging, and the ability to change the length of lifespan are both gray and I can't change them! Any suggestions?
Also, can you play with more than one active household?
Edit: N/M on the first one, I figured it out. On the second one, my gf and I would both like to play in the same neighborhood, without anything being affected by switching active households and I still havent figured it out.Last edited by Streets; 06-11-2009, 08:18 PM.Comment

Re: The Sims 3
You can't as far as I know. Only way you can play with both you and her is by moving your character into her house or vice versa.

Re: The Sims 3
I think there's a workaround to the active households issue, but the info is located on a sims fan website. Are we allowed to post websites such as these for game information and tips?Comment

Re: The Sims 3
Yeah, no problem doing that. Go ahead. I'd kind of like to know how to do it as well. Streets...how'd you solve the aging thing?Comment

Re: The Sims 3
If you meet the minimum requirements then I would say you'll be fine. Im running this on a laptop that didnt even meet the minimum requirements for processor speed according to the same website you referenced and Ive been playing for awhile with absolutely zero chugging or any other problems to speak of. Now of course Im playing with all the graphic settings on low but I didnt get the game for some graphical masterpiece but more for the gameplay so this doesnt bother me at all. I would say as long as you meet the requirements then you wont have any problems.
Of course, I'm on a laptop also, so I didn't expect "Benchmarking speed"
Looks like I won't be playing Sims 3.Comment
