Chick I knocked up already had a kid. When she became my live in girlfriend she left the first kid behind at the single mothers home. Invited the kid to the wedding at my fancy new house to rub it in. The day after the wedding got a pop up that the kid was dropping her mother as a friend.

This game is one of those guilty pleasures like a slump buster.

They have cheat codes that can revive the spirit too!

Actually from reading some of the boards it seems like getting the cheat codes to work can be a bit of a hassle. I haven't found a need for them yet. My first sim fast tracked through the athlete career and I have more cash then I know what to do with anyway.

I think I'm going to go back to my first set of Sims since they were doing nice (despite the crappy shotgun style house).

I liked that one of y Sim's boss either got fired or quit since she is listed as unemployed.

My Original Sim did the same thing, though with Law Enforcement. Had so much cash on hand it wasn't funny.

My house is slowly shooting up as my family keeps going. Here is a tip if anyone hasn't done it yet. Become partners in businesses in town. When your Sims die they pass the partnership along to the children. My first Sim child didn't have to work since he was getting 6000 or so a week from the different businesses. It allows you freedom to build over time since you have a bunch of steady cash.

How do you become Partners? Is it an oppurtunity that comes up or do you have to do something special?

Go to Map View, click on a business, and "become partners" should be one of the options.

Meh, I haven't used any cheat codes yet, but I could certainly see justification for using a money cheat when first buying a house. Not everyone starts out adulthood being as broke as Sims do.

Lol @ this game. My maid had the audacity to jump in my shower and wash the crack of her *** when she is supposed to be cleaning. After realizing that I couldn't join her I insulted her and then fired her.

On another note I just moved into the multi-story house by the beach. Gym on the very bottom floor, pool outside, huge living area. There was only one bedroom but I moved some stuff around and took down/put up some walls, now I have 3 bedrooms, two baths.

has anyone become a millionaire yet? I have over 1.2 million simoleons. I haven't bought a huge house or the best items though. I'm doing the athletic career and pulling in over 83,000 simoleons which includes work, writing novels, autographs, and sometimes opportunities. I think the athletic career might be very beneficial since you work 3 hour shifts, 6 days a week and can continually get raises.

If you are looking for more simoleon cash, try writing novels, especially romantic, vaudeville, and masterpiece books. They bring in a lot of money.

Anyone still playing this? If you are then how is it? I seen my ebgames is having a deal where if you trade 2 games in you get The Sims 3 for $20.

Also, how good of a computer do you need to run this game?
