I hated both Reyes and De Santa also. West Dickens and Rickets were my favorite side characters.

Re: Red Dead Redemption
So I went back a couple night ago and popped GTA IV in, Holy crap the controls in that game suck. After playing Red dead you really take for granted how good of a job they did w/ the controls and how well john actually moves.
Red Dead has almost rendered GTA unplayable for me...My dog's butt smells like cookiesComment

Re: Red Dead Redemption
If you take a bounty and then don't go after the guy, and he disappears, will you still be able to get credit for it? Worried my 100% run might be lost.Comment

Re: Red Dead Redemption
Just focus on the crows that are trying to fly into the silo. Use dead eye on each one of them as it will make it a lot easier to hit them. Also helps if you have some moonshine to replenish your dead eye meter.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

I'm with you, Dook. In the few bits of free time I have, I'm spending it all on either this game or The Show. And lately, it's been more with this game. Just an absolutely bang up job by Rockstar!Comment

Re: Red Dead Redemption
Buy the deed to him and you will be able to call him no matter what.
Also since more people has beat the game Ill repost my spoiler again:
About after ending
SpoilerWas anyone hoping that Johns son would get with Bonnie somehow? I know she is a little to old for him but its back in 1914...No one really cares.
Also why cant Jack get an prositute? I understood the whole being faithful to your wife thing but Jack has fresh balls ready to go.SpoilerYes, that was my first thought. I was hoping to at least be able to visit Bonnie or some of the other characters to see how they were doing after 3 years.
Buying a paper after beating the game tied up a few loose ends (I liked Seth finding his treasure and Reyes failing miserably), but I wanted to be able to talk to some of them and at least get some dialogue out of them like when you are following someone on a horse or riding shotgun.

Re: Red Dead Redemption
There are descriptions of the horses on the deeds at a general store. That's all there really is to go by unless you check out the link below and click each one. I like to see pictures.

1 thing about this game, and I dont know why this is specifically but the game forces me to "embrace it more"
for instance in GTA 4 I would fast travel in Cabs most of the time, it seemed monotonous to drive everywhere.
In this game I rather just travel by horse places and I get sidetracked often.
IN GTA4 I didn't really feel like getting to 100%, and side missions didn't really compel me.
In this game, like others have said, Im at like 47% and have only done like 3 or 4 missions in Mexico to this point, im going to assume theres a lot more to do there before I move on.
Its like the same "formula" as GTA, but it does something different where I naturally want to do more things in this game.Comment
