    Re: Red Dead Redemption

This is the one game I constantly THINK of playing, even when I have no intentions of playing it. It's been that way since 2010. No other game has ever done that to me. I need to jump back in. Haven't played it since finishing Undead. It was a very good DLC (one of the best), but in my eyes nothing compared to the original. Man, I wish I had more time to play this game.

-And the day I hear it's official, they are releasing the next Red Dead, I will celebrate with a shot of whiskey! Just please, please, please Rockstar, take your time making next game like you did this one. Hell, I'll wait until 2016 as long as I know it will be done right.

I can only imagine what they're wanting to cook up for Online coming off of GTA5.

Its funny that this drum is still being beaten.

          And for legit reasons.

Unfortunately I stopped holding out in December.

Loved the game, any word on whether this might get a PS4 release? Ive been itching to start all over again and play it but dont have a PS3 anymore so would love to hear that its getting a re-release on the PS4, although I highly doubt it since its been out for so long now.

I just made it up north for the first time. Awesome experience. I've killed 6 bear, several cougar and boars, elk, etc. Game is crazy good.

I still think roaming around near the mountains up north at night and hearing heavy breathing only to turn around and see a bear charging you is one of the scarier experiences I've had in a game.

Personally, I don't care whether it is day or night, but when you kill one, look around. .. look around again... look around again, finally decide it's safe to skin it. Click the button only to either hear the breathing, and cougar shriek. .. or the camera pans out just enough to see one lurking as you have no control.. lol

The bears and cougars were the reason I stopped playing the first time lol. I beat the story, but I had too many of those things sneak up on me. I heard a bear one time, and was looking for it. Before I could turn around, it was on me.

I know the golden horse you get from Bonnie early on isn't the fastest horse, but it's the only one I use. So when that horse gets KO'd by a damn cougar, I not only wiipe that cougar out. I reload the save. Even if I've completed a mission or two.

Recently I started playing it again. And man. To say the game is like four, almost five years old? It really holds up graphically.

I've played through RDR four times and I still get sweaty palms and nervous as hell any time I'm roaming around in Tall Trees. I upgrade to being 'scared ****less' any time I get off my horse up there.

                        I don't think I've ever enjoyed a mini-game/side aspect of a game more than I've enjoyed hunting/wildlife in RDR.

That's the horse I try and stick with. I named her Horsey-Horse. (real original, I know)

I'm pretty sure I've already said this four times in this thread alone, but the move up to Blackwater was one of my favorite moments in gaming history. Such a welcomed contrast after slugging it out in the dusty south all game. Being able to walk down a street that wasn't made of dirt and then to set foot in a hotel with electricity felt so fresh and modern. Had the city been just a little more interact-able, I may have just stopped progressing in the game altogether and just settled in to living the laid back city-life.

Even with all of that awesomeness, I still think this game missed an opportunity when...

More than likely the limitations on the tech at the time is why something like that didn't happen.
