    Re: Red Dead Redemption

Watching all the videos and reading about the online play makes me want this game even more, I can't wait till the 18th. Wonder if GS is doing a midnight release?
I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

I guess the only way this game isn't one of the best games ever is if the shooting mechanic isn't up to par...

I cant see how this game won't rock. It wont be the shooting mechanics, without playing it i can tell you its better than GTA4's auto aim crap.

^ I noticed auto aim in these vids big time...I'm not sure what's different other than it looks more polished than gta4. I fully expect there to be full-fledged auto aim in this and it looks obvious by the trailers on XBL trailers.

I'd rather none...maybe it's toggle-able? Either way, the game has sucked me in and I'm sold. I know at least one friend who's getting it too, so I'll at least have a 2 man posse.

How can a game be this good? I don't think I'll be able to stop playing this.

rockstar said there are 3 difficulty levels

the easiest will be AA (and faster dead eye regen), the hardest will be no AA at all... and the medium difficulty is some kind of hybrid

i can see myself easily playing this non stop.
Seeing how all the buildings can be entered- all the organic elements, and the open world is so huge, Im guessing I'll just roam around seeing what all the other characters are doing. Then just do some hunting.

great info. Does this apply to Multiplayer too?

In that amazing vid above it looks like there is auto-aim. For example in that mexican villa-type place, the player below kind of locks on to the guy on the roof or balcony as he is moving.

I love how they actually grab the gold or bag and put it over their shoulders AND it weighs them down.

                              The mexican stand-off is hilarious.

This looks like it's going to be so much fun. I haven't spent much time playing multi-player anything the last couple of years, mostly due to grad school eating up my time, but it'll be hard not participate with this game. I guess I'll just have to manage my time differently.
