If I have kids, I'll raise them the same as I was raised.

they can play/watch whatever they want. I'm not talking about a 6 year old, but like if I had a 12 year old I'b buy the game for him if he wanted it (as a birthday present or christmas etc.)

I was always allowed to watch movies with my parents no matter the rating except for one because it was getting a little too crazy (blue velvet, scene with Dennis Hopper going absolutely banana's with that girl)
nudity and swearing or violence didn't matter. I used to watch Conan a few times every week.

I think the key was they were in the room too when I was younger and pointed out very clearly fiction and reality etc.

I'm not saying others should do that too, just that it worked out for me - actually I'm probably a little too empathetic. I also studied this briefly in University too. The only negative consequence of videogames IMO is increased sedentary lifestyle.

That's how I'll raise my kids if/when I have them. Once I got to about 11 or 12, I could more or less watch whatever movies I wanted, as long as my mother knew what was in them and was fine with it. I remember it was a big deal buying my first "parental advisory" CD (Country Grammar by Nelly in 2000, when I was 10), and I had to look through the lyrics beforehand with my Mom to make sure they were okay.

It was all downhill from there for me.

Instead of really giving us a good idea of the innards of the gameplay, he gives a cliff notes of the first 6 hours. I stopped after the first few paragraphs. What a waste of an opportunity to give us more gameplay info.

Indeed they do. I can't wait for this game to come out. Literally counting down the days. I just picked up Saboteur through Goozex, should be here in a few days, and playing the Show... my game time, albeit limited, will be great shortly.

Same here man. Thankfully i'll have a busy few weeks, so it should fly. Just got a pretty good promotion at my job that means i'll be heading to the graveyard shift, but it's worth it. That alone should throw me off enough to make the days fly by until this is out.

Man skinning horses and dogs with other animals will never get old. I was always the jackass in WoW that killed the rabbits and such...lol. I wonder if you can kill your friends horse then skin it in front of him, talk about f'ed up. Just like in Fable when you stole your friends wife or murdered her.
