Re: Red Dead Redemption
LOL I just blew a guy's head off close range. He was trying to draw on me up close and I took my shotgun out, put it under his chin and pulled the trigger. Awesome......Comment

Re: Red Dead Redemption
A friend and I just got done doing free roam and holy crap...time flies by. We did several of the gang raid things. So awesome. Lots of fun just covering one another, blasting npcs down left and right, and mounting up and moving on. I managed to get to level 8 now, got a pretty decent horse, and can't wait to get further. So much fun. MP with friends will keep this game entertaining for a while. The SP is also top notch. Just made it to the Thieves area and started playing blackjack and liars dice, but once again I just got suckered into an hours worth of poker. The thieves there are no joke...they will take your money and deal you crap hands.Comment

Re: Red Dead Redemption
If there's anything in video games better than walking (not running, walking) through Armadillo shooting everything that moves and then jumping on your horse and fleeing town, I haven't played it.

Re: Red Dead Redemption
It's pretty easy. You get on the horse, he bucks like hell. If it looks like you're falling off to the left side, push the analog stick to the right, and vice versa. Do that until the horse stops bucking and shazam, you have yourself a tame horse.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Re: Red Dead Redemption
I got caught cheating at thieves area. I didnt get to keep my winnings when a guy demanded a duel.. I lost $25 bucks because of him and only gained $4 back after killing him.
I gotta say, living out in the southwest and seeing a lot of these geographic environments first hand, they have done one of the best jobs I have seen a video game company do in portraying the region. From the shrubs, to the mountain faces, to the sunlight and sunset, they have made the perfect game in the visual department.
Some cons:
-in typical GTA style, a lot of SP missions are a bit predictable in how they start. (they tell you keep up and trail, then kill a guy, but you can never really catch up until that telegraphed time point where you can kill. One of the cattle herding missions you dont even have to fully get them all to that yellow dot. JUST GO STRAIGHT THERE. you may spend a good 6-10 minutes wrangling cows for no reason.)
-I've seen a few glitches where I would jump from a horse to the train. It would show me stumbling and falling off the train only for 5 seconds later to be right inside the train.
-Another glitch was when I jumped on this guys horse but he never got off. so I was inside his body just a bit as he rode around.. Partners in crime I guess...
I love all the extra things you can buy from bait, to maps, to the ranks you earn for shooting different types of animals.. Longevity will be here for a very long time.
I found some decent canyons for horse jumping. One bad move and your horse is dead.. Risky stuffLast edited by RubenDouglas; 05-19-2010, 01:20 AM.Comment

Re: Red Dead Redemption
I literally just walked over a snake and nothing happened. Except that I shot it.
Odd Man's whatever was littered with them.
Speaking of that placeSpoilerWhere is this Peter dude that I was looking for? It tells me to go to Odd Man's, and then there's nothing there. I didn't see a Peter on the headstones, either.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Re: Red Dead Redemption
ROFL, I was trying to shoot a rabbit while moving full speed on my horse in free roam, let it get a little too close and was trying to follow it with my crosshairs, pulled the trigger when it was under me and ended up accidentally headshotting my horse.. it goes "Ch33k0 shot the head off of Ch33k0's horse".. I could not stop laughingComment

Re: Red Dead Redemption
Some campers invited me to have a seat at their camp. I did and I just happen to sit on a rattle snake who proceeded to bite me. I shot at it with my rifle and skinned it while the campers ran away in terror!
...unless that was supposed to happen lolComment
