I am amazed by the animations of the horses. I know we were discussing this yesterday and I am astonished. These animations trump any other horse riding game........ even the "Barbie Horse Adventures" that Extreme rented once for the Achievements. J/k.

When I saw the muscles on the horses legs as they trot along I was like WHOA! I don't think Shadow of the Colosses or even Zelda comes this close to attention to details. I thought the horse riding looked good in Assassins Creed 2, but this trumps it. The horse riding does seem to take a little bit getting used to.

A little thing about the horses that makes them look so realistic is the way their hoofs contact the ground when in different strides -- they sort of move with the terrain a bit and aren't in a fixed running motion so you see the impact points shift around as they run.

I also love how they slip and try to get their balance when you ride them up a steep hill (or take little tiny steps when going down one). The horses are ridiculous, basically -- the tail animations are awesome too, swatting flies and stuff.

Saw a mob dragging a guy through MacFarlane Ranch by a lasso behind their horses. Heard them coming from a distance because they were shooting their guns into the air and yelling, then was surprised to see that craziness as they trampled through town. I think the dude was already dead or I would've been tempted to go after them and get some reverse mob justice happening.

That's amazing! Reading stuff like this makes me realize the reason I bought a PS3 in the first place (besides Blu-Ray); and up till now, most of the games I have didn't quite utilize the power potential of the console......

Dam. My first ever third person game looks to be on the horizon!

Poker is mostly in saloons as far as I can tell. The little icon will pop up when you're nearby one, and I think once you've actually been to it, it'll stay on your map legend after that.

I kill at Five-Finger Filet but always get busted out at poker ha.

to start the game , there are a few places.. ARMADILLO and THIEVES area has poker. to me it looks like a dartboard icon, but I guess its supposed to be a poker table.

Some areas have $25 dollar starts and others $10.. You get your chips in dimes, so you have 250 chips for every $25 dollars.

btw where do I sign up for gamblers annoy. in game? I need help.

guys, how do i make REAL money?

Does anybody play with a constant bounty of their head? It seems like its too hard to play that way because you cant shake the dudes chasing you

I will say the bounty board provides the most fun for me and the random crap that happens during the mission.

Love when my horse gets spooked and runs off, leaving me with no quick escape.

anyone hogtie a bounty, throw him on your horse, only to get bucked off your own horse and him and the bounty run around spooked. I pressed A too many times as I was running from the bounties partners, so I spend about 5 minutes trying to run down my horse with the fugitive still on the back of the horse. All the while the partners are shooting at me which spooks the horse. I'm such a clumsy lawman

all i did last night was play free roam for about 2-3 hrs. man the landscape is crazy large. only bad thing was we had problems with everyone at some point or another dissappearing. sometimes it was the horse only, other times it was them and the horse. the only way u knew they were there was cuz their name was always on screen...just no character. happened to me too. its bad cuz u call ur horse and u cant see yourself or the horse so its a pain to ride out.

also had a posse prob where we were all in the posse but some of the guys werent showing up on the map anywhere. other than that tho, had a blast. did some gang hideouts and killing random other posses who joined in the session and also hunting...although i didnt get to kill anything but birds and helped kill a bear. also picked a ton of herbs and learned that the double pistol is a nice gun.

they really need to fix these issues tho cuz they are in fact messing with gameplay. also can someone tell me how to loot bodies and skin animals in free roam??

I really cannot put into words how awesome this game is,the amount of stuff to see and do is just simply amazing.

This game is more than simply "immersive" ...it's "SUBmersive. I alost feel "dirty" after I quit for the night,as the atmosphere is that impressive.

Now I just hope I can get my damn code from Gamestop to work...I wanna work for my deadly assassin outfit.

I love just wandering around at a slow trot out in the range and nailing birds and deer from a distance then going around and skinning them. Haven't run into any bears/mountain lions yet (I'm still early on and have stayed mostly in the initial area), but I've shot the crap out of some wolves... those are some profitable sumbitches! Sell the hide, the heart, the meat, worked out to like $35 apiece. This one area was loaded with them this one night (probably because it was loaded with deer) and I must've killed 12 of them. Needless to say, I got ****faced that night and bought that room at the saloon in Armadillo!

Been killing and skinning everything I see. Where do I go to sell everything that I've collected? I saw a butcher chopping things up outside a building in Armadillo but didn't see any way to sell to him.
