WOW! WOW! WOW!

I just started playing this game today. FANTASTIC.

Love the feel, the music, sounds, ACTING.

If you are a fan of Spaghetti Westerns, 3:10 to Yuma, Unforgiven, Deadwood ... OWN THIS GAME... Play the heck out of it.

I only scratched the surface, but I can tell I am in for a wild ride. The graphics are fantastic, lighting and shadows especially. And the voice acting... simply great! Especially the main protagonist.

I couldn't get into GTA4 too much, because while it tried to be more serious, it was still way over the top goofy, which I hope from early play-tests of Mafia 2, that game will fill the void for the serious crime drama for me. (though I did hear Liberty City Stories, were more serious, so I will give that a try)

But in the mean time, this game as well as The Show will be spinning for a long time to come in the PS3.

Play poker in Armadillo and wear the elegant suit. Get caught cheating on purpose and one of the other players will challenge you to a duel.

and have no idea what to do with them. If they have no purpose, I might as well sll them and get all my money back. I had $1,000+ but bought a horse, just got it all back and spent it on medicine, bandolier, ammo, maps, etc.

Yes the only purpose is for you to sell them for money. They are worth a lot. That's why everyone wants to find the gold, in game and real life.

I just picked this up about a few hours ago. It's on you bro. IMO I'd jump at this. The controls in RDR are alot smoother than GTA 4 and I feel like I have more control of my horses than I do with cars in GTA 4. So far playing it I am loving it like a fat boy who likes cakes. Plus they have online so u can't go wrong there bro.

There is only 2 minor complaints I have and it's in the beginning before I start my first mission. The load times were freakin long. I didn't install it to the hard drive so that maybe the problem. Everybody elses load times before the first mission took like forever?

My second minor complaint is is it free roaming or not? Like if I go out too far from the mission it says mission failed. I just played the first few missions and liked it so far. My nephew is on now so my impressions might change when I get further into the game.

I suspected the Chinese dude in theive's landing of cheating at poker. I hog tied him and tried to drop him in the water next to the bridge but ended up in in there myself with him. I tried again and managed to drop him in. He was back the next time so I thought maybe they just don't die like that. I heard him say "I don't want to be pig food!" then remembered the movie Snatch and that there were pigs right next to the house you can get in that place. Just imagine my disapointment I took him over there and the pigs were gone. I just ended up dragging him through town behind the horse. Only for him to be back again later. Another important store owner I guess.

I already have it, I was just saying I have a hard time deciding between RDR and ME2 as GOTY.

My freezing issue that I mentioned last night is my console's fault. I exchanged for a new copy and it's still happening. Damn.

On a brighter note, I took back the standard edition and they gave me the special edition. So I've got that going for me.

Do you have a 360? Is that what you're playing it on? Because it sounds like a RROD is in your future.
