Made it to Mexico last night, i'm liking it...I cant wait til I unlock the north.

How many missions does it take to get the north unlocked?

It's pretty long. At the least, its 6 hours of main missions. A lot of the time is traveling across Mexico in a wagon or something. But you might be able to do it quickly if you don't get side tracked.

I had to wait for DTV yesterday so I was able to play until I got to the North. Now I am just roaming trying to get the challenges and sides done before progressing the story. This is one game that I don't want to see end. A great plus is that you can replay missions. I love that option.

I saw a flying bear in multiplayer, that was good times. He was running in place and looking threatening... I tried shooting him, but he eventually just disappeared.

The bird people are hilarious, mainly because they're gliding and flapping like birds rather than walking or something. I want to see them and start blasting.

I haven't played the last couple of nights because I've been busy, but I plan a nice session tonight before going to get UFC. I'll try and get to Mexico, I'm barely on the first Seth mission and just did the crazy storm cattle herding mission for Bonnie. I've barely touched the SP missions since the world is so fun to just roam around in... And yeah, I'm taking the camera to the UFC midnight release in case there are any bro-bros in 'costume' (if I see MMA shorts, they're going on the website with the Bandito guy form the RDR release), but mostly I'm just looking forward to blasting through a PPV mode before bedtime.

I found a fun way to do free roam last night.

Go to the Presidio fort when you have a wanted level with a few friends. Use the cannons and Gatling guns to hold off the entire army

I'll be tonight about 8 central... I want to try that.

Also, when do the trains usually leave? I am trying to put a guy on a train track to get ran over.

If you look at the Map (in-game) there is a red icon that shows where train is at that time, it moves with the train so you can head it off.

I have read every post in this thread. Some of you guys are complete lunatics!! I wonder where my man TCrouch is? Anyway, I have yet to purchase the game. Does the poncho do Clint Eastwood justice? I should be getting the game soon.

My girlfriend loves this game. We played it all weekend. We didn't get anywhere really as we just goofed around and did stupid stuff but it was a lot of fun.

Playing the game without the mini-map/HUD on is...incredibly difficult, but incredibly fun.

Trying to complete the Survivalist challenges without the mini-map to show you the plant icon pop up when you're close is a challenge. I actually have to look around for the actual plants.
