Couple questions.

To get legend of the west do you have to be level 10 in all missions?

If so is this the only way to get the last level of dead eye?

Also the funny man stranger mission. I have a ? sitting up by the mine but I go up there and there's nothing to be found. What am I missing?

You get the 3rd level of Dead Eye in Mexico and its part of the story line.

You get the Legend of the West outfit for level 10 in all challenges. You also receive specific bonuses for each challenge when you get it to level 10. The challenges can't be completed until you reach the 3rd area of the map.

can somebody please tell me where to find beavers? i have looked all over and can't find them. also i can't seem to find any boars. i haven't unlocked the 3rd territory yet. is there anywhere else to find boars?

Do u have to complete "i know you" to get the achievement for completing 15 stranger tasks? I have 14 completed and that one is not.

I beat the game so i dont think i have the option to do that one now.

There is 19 stranger tasks in total. I'm not sure about the achievment, but you have to finish 18 stranger tasks (not including "I Know You") to count toward 100% complete game.

Beavers are only in the 3rd territory I think. You can find Boars north of Macfarland's Ranch in the 1st area. There seems to be a lot of them out in the late afternoon/early evening for me.

NORTHEASTERN river bank by Blackwater has them. Look in the grassy river beds. There is a spawning ground for 2-3 at a time in that area.

Above and to the right of the S in GREAT PLAINS:

Hunting in Tall Trees is the most tense thing though. You are constantly looking around for Bears and Wolves when you shoot something. Then as you skin your kill you hope your horse is still alive.

This game is pure gold. I've barely touched the main story as I'm having too much fun exploring and doing random missions.

I'll be playing this game for a long, long time.

yep. the very fact that rare beavers are spotted there makes it that much more exciting.

btw, I set some bait in that northern region of great plains along the riverbed looking for beavers and a grizzly bear comes and eats all the bait. i wouldnt call him totally out of place there but it was nice to see some random events.

Herding buffalo into Blackwater is somewhat possible. I had a stray buffalo three-four houses into Blackwater.

Finished the game. I hate GTA (just comes off as too cartoony for me) and don't really enjoy sandbox games...but I absolutely loved this game (western setting greatly helped). Instead of repeating all the amazing things already said...here is what I would like changed in the inevitable prequel/sequel (or hopefully added to prohibition gangster setting or earlier true wild west outlaw setting). I am leaving out the glitch comments...as when I encountered them, I just reloaded my save.

1. There is a gold standard of 3rd person action and it is Uncharted. The mapping of the controller and shooting is just a tad off and Rockstar should look at Uncharted for guidance and inspiration.

2. I wish they would increase the Sergio Leone/Tombstone atmosphere of the game with more intense music and cutscenes. They were some...but I thought it could have been highlighted more and extended a little.

3. More random stuff going on in the world...it seems they rotate about 10 different events.

4. Not once during the game was there an American city shootout. Whether its Open Range, Silverado, etc...there is always a shootout with guys all across the town...really disappointed and shocked this wasnt added...no guys up top falling through the general store sign and such.

5. Streamline the multiplayer more (look at COD for guidance). Don't force players to play capture the flag and team deathmatch...improve and make more to do in free roam, etc...


Other than that, love the game and looking forward to going through it again as an outlaw after taking a break from it.

man this game just keeps getting better....me and a buddy decided to finally try out MP competitive. man it is so fun. i went in thinking it was gonna be as wack as gta4's MP....man i couldnt have been more wrong. the fleshed out controls cover responsiveness and the weapons all makes this very fun. cant wait to play on some more locales. gonna play some more of that tonight. man im never gonna get finished with the story till like the fall/winter at this rate.
