I love the relationship between Marston and his family. It feels real. The give and take, the jokes, it just feels like my family. Frankly, it's a ton of fun to watch.

I loved the ending. It's the ending I felt had to happen. I really felt like the only way for this to end was for him to die for his family, and sure enough. Fantastically done.

I think I lost my Standardbred now. That sort of pisses me off.

It might have been 500 if you are talking about that little house you can buy? I think it cost me $250 but i am evil so maybe it's cheaper for me in thieves landing than you. It's just another save point / ammo refill chest etc.

I wish you could buy some of the bar's etc and collect money every week like previous GTA's.

It's in the upstairs bar/saloon in Armadillo. The very first bar you see in the game. In the thieves landing, unless my eyes deceive me It's 1,000 dollars to buy a place there.

I'm a pretty good guy in the game with my honor points far away from me being evil so I can do evil acts without it really even doing any serious damage to my rep.

So, I guess he was God. Very weird to put something like this in there. Or it could just be John smoking those funny cigarettes. Regardless, it was a very odd quest. Just wondering what everyone's take on this is.

It had to happen. Everything lead up to that, including Dutch saying that there is no more room for us in the world. It was an excellent game that ended. Too many games these days have an open ending to keep it ripe for a sequel.

RE: autosaves, I know an autosave comes up when you select a HORSE out of your satchel.. so be very careful what you do if you dont want stuff autosaving.

does anyone know if you can do some of the MP challenges in a private game?

I cant stand normal free roam.

my friend got ambushed by 5 other guys on horseback who had semi automatics and long range guns (all were 10-12 XP ranks) and he couldnt get away. Why is he spawning right in their face. It was disasterious.

did they not think this free roam XP mode out? it's flawed beyond belief.

you can easily switch to a Private free mode anytime you want (see MP menu) where only your friends can come in and or you go it alone.

There's something that really pulls at the heart strings a little about Jack getting off his horse, whistling, and his Dad's horse running up. I don't know what it is, but it felt unintentionally poignant.

I've done that like 3 or 4 times now. It gets annoying REALLY quick.

I bought a suit and a bandana thinking that this will hide who I am and they won't recognize me but, that didn't go over to well.

Is the bandana just for looks or does it hide your identity?

Ya I've stopped going to Thieves Landing unless I have to go there.

I actually felt that way when I put on the Legend of the West Outfit and Bandanna for the first time after the grave scene. I went straight to Black Water with purpose and it felt so right. I ended up tying up the wife and putting her on my horse. I shot the brother. Then I killed the wife on the hill behind the agent, so she was visible in the cut scene. That was revenge.

Damn. I just had all the players in Armadillo poker out, except one. I went all in on him and was about to clear him out with 2-pair. He ends up with a 5 high straight and tales 900+ chips. Damn cheating game. So when I left the table I pulled out my double-barreled shotgun and blew his face off. Serves him right.

Met my first cougar today. Was riding around and saw this big creature thing coming at me and I was like what is that and then boom my horse is dead so I shot and killed it.

Are Cougars / mountain lions that much of a bitch in the game? I seem to kill them rather easily, even while on my horse. Sometimes even 2 at once, never even had my horse swiped at.

I saw it coming but I couldnt figure out what it was since it was the first time I have seen it. I had time to shoot it but didnt for some reason.
