I mean they're both different games, but it's just unfortunate that I think GTA really should have picked up more things that RDR does well or has, and did not end up doing. Even the wilderness in both are far, far different. Of course, that's what RDR lives off of, but you'd think they'd get more out of it if they could.

GTA also didn't do some very obvious things that other sandbox games have done in the past ten years, even older GTA games.

RDR truly is one of a kind though, and I'm guessing the next Red Dead will just put most arguments to bed. Considering it wasn't too satirical of most of the western tropes and took itself seriously (even though it had good-willed humor in it all the meanwhile), it's really just hard to beat the whole environment within that game. Truly is one of a kind.

Damn you guys. I get home from work, open tapatalk and see Red Dead thread had new post, went from 6 to be 12 thinking it's info on a sequel only to somehow get redirected to face book.

Two problems with that:

1) I think this thread gets updated all of the time. Nothing really new.

2) Redirected to Facebook? Why?

3) If there was info on a new game, a new thread would probably be created since it wouldn't be called Redemption (and if it did, it would have a 2 or II at the end).

I like the wilderness in GTA V. Wish they had animals online but for single player it nice. RDR had it good though, being able to hunt and skin animals(sell), gather plants, and doing challenges was just fun. I hope they expand on this and make it better for RDR 2, this was the thing that sold it for most people.

Never have I wanted a video game character dead as much as I do now. Like a great movie, this game sucks me in and I feel as angry as Marston!
