I kinda enjoy it, but yeah the case timer is like the past one where sometimes you're wondering if you'll have time.

I'm into the "overtime" portion for the best ending, after that I'll probably play again and just skip a bunch of stuff just so I can focus more on some fun killing of zombies. I haven't tried the online stuff yet either, and I may just hop in the online co-op once I'm done with the game (didn't want to ruin any surprises accidently going farther than I am now)...

It's not really that different from the first (though I haven't played the first in forever)...it is a lot of fun though, and I've enjoyed going through the story mode.

Not sure if this is exclusive or not......but coming to PSN.

Dead Rising 2 senior producer Josh Bridge has confirmed that Capcom will be unleashing a plethora of downloadable content for the zombie-slaying sequel on PlayStation Network in the coming weeks.

First in line is the Psychopath Theme Pack, which allows you to kit hero Chuck Greene out in a horror-themed outfit that augments him with an assortment of weapons including a chainsaw, cleaver, axe and machete. Apparently, this’ll make Greene ‘stronger and deadlier’. It’s out on October 12.

Up next is the Soldier of Fortune Theme on October 19, which “decks you out as the ultimate action hero with increased deadliness for all firearms”.

After this comes the Sports Fun Pack, where you take on the role of the “ultimate sports party animal,” allowing Greene to down as much drink as possible without getting sick in the process. In addition, you’ll also prove “more deadly with any sporty weapons.” Look out for this pack on October 26.

Finally, Capcom will be releasing the Ninja Theme pack on November 2, rendering you “virtually undetectable to the undead” as a result. Furthermore, Greene’s proficiency with swords and throwing weapons will increase dramatically. Sounds like a winner to us.

No, coming to X360 too. And all of those were pre-order bonuses at various retailers.

Im more annoyed that I find myself wanting to do more in the short case timer windows than I can.

Sometimes id like to venture off the beaten path, but you really have to be careful with this game when doing that otherwise you'll time out.

But when I stick to objectives its fine. Oh and one more tip.....save often.

2K11 has had me pre-occupied that I still have not tried this out. Is time limitations more strict this go around, unlike the first game where we had a bit of time to explore? I'm thinking that with needing Zombrex for the daughter, there is probably a lot of backtracking.

Case timer is a pain but it gives you sorta a lump in your throat as you run around just like it would be. I just wish there was a "hustle" button lol

Zombrex isn't an issue really, it's easy to find (or buy, though the cases take you in the path of zombrex to find) and you'll find yourself needing to go back to the safehouse anyway to drop off survivors.

On a side note, it's asinine to me that there isn't a run button. I sure as hell wouldn't half jog through a zombie invasion.

Yeah, the timing isn't a big issue, but it does force you to make choices and run around with more of a purpose (like Chubby said there's not a lot of free time if you're doing a lot of the other stuff)...

I kinda like that "man, I have to make it there and do this" feeling, but it will be nice to ignore some of that and just kill zombies on my next gameplay.

Zombrex is pretty easy to find (there's a link to a interactive map in this thread with locations) so that's not too annoying.

                        Re: Dead Rising 2

I played through once avoiding all the story missions and now that I'm trying to play through it again I'm finding it hard to find the motivation. I even stopped and played through Enslaved and I'm still finding it laborious to play through this second time. The story all feels extremely trite and predictable, and the in between time I find it hard to find stuff to do because I had done it all before.

                          Re: Dead Rising 2

                          Just got this today.

I'm going to say something about this game that I never thought I'd say about a video game: I wish there was more bathrooms.

I keep ****ing dying and having to go way back in the story. There aren't enough bathrooms. It bothers me.

Other than that, though, I'm having a blast. Spiked bats rule, but my favorite weapon so far is the sledgehammer. So lethal. Zombies ain't got a chance.

There are bathrooms all over, in every map segment.

The map shows one save point in every segment. I want more. 2 or 3.

That'll probably be less of a concern when I start not sucking at this game, but for now it bothers me.

You can pretty much walk past zombies, are you trying to kill a path? Might be your problem.
