No problem using free aim here. I am someone who isn't normally very good at shooters either, so I have to imagine there are quite a few people out there who a better at the game than I am. Free aim makes you feel like an awesome bad*** though, I wouldn't play it any other way, at least in SP. Have the people struggling with free aim tried adjusting some of the other control options(sensitivity, acceleration)? Maybe that will make free aim feel more comfortable.

I am goin to post some of my Free Aim tips that I use. I know some are probably common sense but here they are anyway.
1. Adjust your sensitivity and try to get one you feel comfortable with. I use default but others may need it fast or slow depending on your style of play.
2. Take it slow. Don't just run head first into a group of enemies. Crouch, walk and scan all the time. I have my LT trigger down almost the whole time.
3. Use tactics. Just because you see a guy in a building doesn't mean you should run in to try to kill him. Try to figure out the direction he is running and try to flank him. Don't be afraid to see someone coming and dunk behind cover until he passes and shooting him in the back.

Re: Max Payne 3
I'm playing with free aim and hard difficulty. It will have it moments that are tough for sure, and you may want to punch something, but it is manageable.
My advice would be to play on Normal with free aim. Things can be less frustrating

Re: Max Payne 3
Has 5 modes in it.
4 random objective modes (carrying a bag to a location, holding a location, keeping a VIP alive, etc). Then each win nets you 5 points towards the final battle which is TDM. So if you win the first 4 battles, you start the TDM up 20-0.
It's a very long mode, takes 30-40 minutes sometimes, but since it's always changing, it's great. Very different, very fun.Comment

Re: Max Payne 3
OK, I may be missing something here but for the life of me I can't melee anyone. The booklet says get close and hit the right trigger (shoot button) but every time I walk up behind someone and try it my gun shoots.
All the while I get melee'd all the time. People are even swinging at me when I am out of their melee range sometimes.
I don't have a problem doing it in the single player mode but multi-player is a different story. Have not been able to melee even once.

Is it even possible to sneak around and not get caught/spotted right away? There are times where I can be crouching trying to sneak by and I'll still get spotted.I am goin to post some of my Free Aim tips that I use. I know some are probably common sense but here they are anyway.

I used to have this problem in RDR all of the time. It's supposed to be context-based, but I don't trust the game to do it for me , so I just use the Y button.OK, I may be missing something here but for the life of me I can't melee anyone. The booklet says get close and hit the right trigger (shoot button) but every time I walk up behind someone and try it my gun shoots.
