My wish will finally becoming true, Dedicated servers over everything .

New weapons, character variation, new executions, new way to play guardian, new ways to kill with nades. I'm ******* pumped for Gears.

What a way to end a truly love/hate success of a series, despite the host/lag that has plagued the 2 previous installments, Gears is addicting.

Beta please come out before the summer .

Earlier this year, **** pulled an announcement of an announcement, letting us know that they had big Gears of War-related news for the Spike Video Game Awards. Apparently plans have changed.

Major Nelson reports that the planned Gears of War reveal has been postponed from tonight's event. According to Major Nelson, the news will come at some point in 2011, and it sounds like Microsoft may still deliver through Spike TV in some form.

Previously it had been rumored that the announcement could be a new Gears of War project that is Kinect-enabled. Sadly, we'll just have to keep speculating for the time being.

I really hope the single player is awesome. Only reason I play GEARS. I hate the multiplayer side of it.

Makes sense. Hopefully we get a public beta date then.

Really looking forward to the beta for this (the full game as well obviously). I'm sure I'll love the campaign, but I didn't like the multiplayer in Gears 2 (Liked it in the first one). The multiplayer footage they should a few months ago looked really good, and looked like it addressed a lot of the things I didn't like about Gears 2, so I look forward to getting it in my own hands.

when is the last time you played the Gears 2 multiplayer? Because TU6 made it feel a lot more like Gears 1.

Haven't played in the most recent update I think. Played all the updates before that though. Regardless, the netcode in Gears 2 makes the game unplayable in my opinion.

everything has been much more streamlined so the issues you've seen in the past happen a less often now. Still, the netcode is a problem, which is why I'm looking forward to the dedicated servers for Gears of War 3.

yeah, not exactly what you hope for but at least it shows E-PIC is willing to work on the game and get it right, even if it takes six patches. TU6 was a good update, if only it had come sooner. I still have mixed feelings about what TU6 did to the shotgun, but it definitely doesn't ruin the experience for me.

Hmm, I wonder what other way there will be to get into the beta. Bulletstorm looks pretty cool, but barring amazing reviews I doubt I will purchase it.

I'm betting they do the same thing Bungie did, if you preorder Gears 3 you'll get a guaranteed code, some gaming sites will give away a few keys, and the Microsoft VIPs will get codes.
