Agreed, but at its core, it is definitely still Gears, and I don't think it is going to sway many people that strongly dislike the multiplayer of Gears 1 and 2.

Yup, pretty much. Even though it feels very different than the first two it's still very much Gears. I like it a lot, though I know some longtime vets are put off by the new changes (big surprise, old players resisting new change).

Right. Consider this a final warning. If you don't want to find out what happens to Clayton Carmine in Gears of War 3, look away now. Seriously! Go! Run for the hills! Vamoose! Still here? OK then. **** Games has confirmed the fate of the third hapless Carmine brother, revealing what will happen to him in an interview with CVG.

**** Games' Rod Fergusson revealed that Clayton Carmine - who doesn't look quite as green as his ill-fated siblings - will survive to the end credits in Gears of War 3 after last year's vote saw more 'Save Carmine' Xbox Live Avatar T-shirts being sold than ones bearing the slogan, 'Carmine Must Die!', much to the chagrin of Design Director Cliff Bleszinski.

"I still want him to die," grumbled Bleszinski. Looks like he might not have his way however, unless **** makes a last minute decision to perhaps kill him after the final credits. We'll all be able to find out whether Clayton Carmine makes it past the credits when Gears of War 3 launches on September 20th, 2011.

I did get a chance to play Gears Of War 3 (first time I've ever played any GOW online) beta two weeks ago, it was hard at first because I was playing really fast instead of taking it slow, got the hang of it & love it. Two things I'd like to see in order to be an excellent game for me are spawn system & make sawed-off shotgun as a power weapon.

Underwhelming trailer in my opinion. I know they don't want to give away anything, but I wasn't feeling it. I'm going to get Gears 3 (I'm a huge fan of the Gears franchise) but this trailer was pretty bad.

It was a cool trailer, but I do agree that it wasn't anything amazing.

I didn't expect to see anything amazing, I felt that it was just supposed to be something to get excitement up for E3 where they will drop a bunch of new stuff.

Good to see they're including the new d-pad on the controllers. I'll probably get one when the price hits around $40 on Amazon.

Yep, I got one over a month go. Although I suck now at playing MK on the normal dpad when I forget to bring mine to a friend's house.

But I want the Gears one for it's badass look.
